Why do they still luck-gate smithing texts behind boss battles?

The stats requirements are literally useless for a ninja build despite the armor set being the best kunai/shuriken ninja set.

How do you grapple in Yokai form without using Yokai Shift? I swear this has happened a couple of times while using phantom form.

Is the obsidian samurai set with todo and axe and all that bullshit actually a viable and fun build or is it just for shitters? Been playing A agility dual swords/kusa and kinda want to switch it up to see other playstyles.

You have to use the grapple immediately after breaking their ki when they are still in their falling animation, once they start laying on the ground it will always be the regular grapple.

Now I kinda wanna make a Spear / Kusa build.

But I've never used Kusa and anytime I try to use them, I get upset I either spam one skill or get locked into long ass animations and get punished.

HOW TO KUSA

Break ki with yokai counter and grab the enemy quickly before the animation returns you to your human form.

The NPC's. Hanzo and his father both use spears. And they're the only two ninjas in the game. So ALL of them use Spears.

Literally just high stance quick attack. In most cases you should be able to follow up with a free strong attack. The strong attack can also hit multiple enemies so if they are running towards you just throw it out to hit all enemies at once. Add in crimson flurry + the upgrade and slap an arcana on it to apply your favorite status effect easily. On human enemies use the hold triangle ability and then just beat the piss out of them.

Also rolled a new character to try a magic and switchglaive build. This thing is OP, it has no weaknesses. It like I don't even need a secondary weapon, it's too good.

it's objectively the best weapon. Sure Odachi breaks stamina easier, 2kat and Kurisigama can do more DPS, but Switchglaive is 3 weapons in one that are all really strong.

I liked that owl boss a lot. About time to have a boss that doesn't swing a weapon again.
