Have over 500hrs
I've put 27 hours into it so far since my job wasn't open this week
beware, this is worse than meth
How do i enjoy this game? Just bought a house in the hub and put down a table, what do i research to make a viable base and how will I spread out later?
Kenshi is easily one of the shittiest, most boring, nothing to fucking do videogames I've ever played in my life.
I find it really fucked up they are trying to pass this turd off as 'emergent story telling' when there is emergent fucking anything.
You could stand around till you starve to death and nothing ever happens.
The economy is fake. (there isn't one)
The NPC's are spawned in at random hold no value.
Nothing you do matters. It's all so fucking lifeless and without meaning.
>b-b-but kill some leaders and a hut will turn into a ruined hut.. it's epic
No, fuck you.
Why do I have to do it? Nobody rebuilds it? Really?
Man. This entire game is fucking garbage.
>4.3k hours in dota
I don't know if that's much at all since i've had the game since 2011
I like this game.
Also it's really an unplayable buggy mess. Characters getting stuck everywhere, everything breaking, non-stop loading every 5 steps.
This game is complete junk. Unfinished pile of shit, belongs in early access where it can be forgotten entirely.
this, except if you've never played it I'd just wait for Journey's End
the game is a fantastic timesink but once you realize its flaws you can turn on it quickly
It's like 5% of those 9 years.
You be the judge.
>1k in mordhau since release in may
thats not so bad
I eagerly await the salty posts trying to handwave this or just the call poster a faggot.
It's good nowadays?
i feel like this game will be too complicated for me
Can I play it like a single player game?
It is single player. Maybe you mean "can I play it with a single character?" I reckon you can, but the most interesting element is to have multiple characters (small army really) at once
no
Had to forcefully stop myself from playing this. It's a mix between turn-based card game, rogue-lite, pokemon taming, party based rpg. The amount of varied teams you can have is impressive, and you unlock permanent rewards (more heroes/cards/loot quality). I know it looks like a cheap Korean game with so-so art direction but it's surprisingly addictive. No bullshit monetization whatsoever either.
It's not fun without a group of IRL friends to play with.
DCSS
or any roguelike really
Based and FTLpilled
Doom 1/2. You could put like a thousand hours into the game with mods and still have a ton more to do.
I installed the ""overhaul"" Genesis mod but it's pretty garbage as a whole.
Doom is almost cheating, you can play for tens of thousands of hours with all the stellar WADs out there
Modded minecraft and modded factorio are my go to timesinks.
>play game for the first time
>my chumps became slaves in less than ten minutes
>then almost became giant bug food in 5 minutes
>then got EATEN ALIVE by nightmare fuel tier avians that might as well be pre-historic ostriches
>only my skeleton chumps survived
Yup. Skeletons all the way.
Haven't played in a while but have 340 hours. Still need to return to the world.
Trannytech with Roguetech mod and difficulty turned up a bit
Doom wads
Fightan gaymes
Lewd games like No Haven or Free Cities or management-heavy stuff
Romance of the Three Kingdoms games or Nobunaga's Ambition
Really long jrpgs
La-Mulana 1&2
Gary Grigsby's War in the East
Earth Defense Force
Worms
Dungeon crawlers like Wizardry or Coven of Dusk or Stranger of Sword City or Grimoire
Modding Master of Orion 3 to be playable
Timesink? It's called finish your backlog you fucking worthless sardine
I've been digging this tactical game for 30 hour +. Basically Uncharted Waters but with a much more refined tactical combat.
Main story only lasts for couple of hours but the side activity lets you do lots of open ended adventure of building fleets, crew, and riches
Do not for the love of god go to the fucking foglands if you value your characters and are doing any sort of no quick load rule.
More than 100. That's the answer to the question you'll ask if you try to bully your way through. THEY DONT STOP
Based and backlogpilled.
My backlog is over 200 games and keeps growing. I'm never going to make it.
They a great way to train your toughness and free up some space for new hardware though
If you can handle them. First time through I thought I'd just finish the group I was on and then carry the fallen up to Mongrel. Then they just kept coming. After each group i thought that would be my chance but once someone got put on a pole it was attrition until me, my strongest shek and my dog were almost unkillable while everyone was getting cronched
>all those fog niggers
rest in fanta Zu
not with that attitude user. You can do it!
Hey Hey People!
You can still do cool things that most games don't let you do, like beat people to the brink of death then strip them naked and leave them in the street to slowly die overnight, while random people pick through their belongings with no regard for the stupid cocksucker bleeding to death. Fuckin' schnorrer.
I foolishly started four colonies at once, and now I'm save-locked minutes before a Hegemony excursion fucking wrecks my most valuable one. Can't negotiate, can't bribe, can't win.
My enjoyment for this game is steadily decreasing.
Trying to play it now but it keeps fucking crashing due to mods. Cant figure out which one(s) are the cause. I'm getting the shits.
It's one of those games that you have to create your own goals to enjoy, it doesn't just let you enjoy yourself. I didn't really get into it, but I can't really say it's objectively bad, just not the right game for me or you.
that sounds like the nerdiest thing ever
kenshi sucks. why the fuck can't you decapitate people and why the fuck can't you assassinate people either
stopped playing recently after getting too strong.
wish the world was a little more reactive and dynamic.
I need a long ass fucking rpg or something that i can get really immersed in. the shit going on is giving me extreme anxiety
slavery is probly the easiest way to start.
lets you build up your lockpicking, toughness and unarmed. and your masters will always heal you when you get fucked up
but they're so weak
i love how limbs go flying dozens of feet into the air when you chop them off
>Rimworld
>CDDA
>CoC
I've spent 2000 hours spread across these three.
By the time I ran to the Foglands, I had a dozen runaway slaves from UC stonecamps with stats in the 40's for the things that mattered. By the time they made it into Mongrel, five were still alive and two of them were crippled.
>>CDDA
>>CoC
can you just type out the whole name instead of using esoteric acronyms
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead
Call of Chernobyl
cdda is genuinely a fucking time thief, i haven't played a game where i can sit down and play for 8 - 12 hours straight and not not even realize it in a LONG time, let alone also only feel like two or three hours has passed while playing it.
This is my bugmen only playthrough base, say something nice about it
Kassandra's game is really big
can someone give me a rundown on kenshi and its gameplay?
>Deep mechanics
Lmao
Its literally just a giant sandbox, physics based combat, most of the game is a hobo beating simulator to get stronger but unlike most other games you are the hobo, if you can roleplay and get invested in the game you will like it, otherwise avoid it since the game has no objectives nor quest or anything like it
>if you can roleplay and get invested in the game you will like it,
never really done roleplay before but theres a first time for everything ill give it a shot once i wake up ive been looking for something i can waste a bunch of time in.
