FF XV was actually good
FF XV was actually good
True.
I'm really enjoying it this game.
One of my favorite Final Fantasy games.
It’s actually pretty fucking lame. Why would I want to play as an spoiled Asian pretty boy with a bad attitude
>yeah man, Luna is gorgeous! Any guy would KILL to marry her!
>pfft....it’s no big deal....
It isn’t 2004 anymore that shit isn’t cool. It’s just fucking lame. Now 9 and 12? THATS a final fantasy
FF VII was better espcially now with mods
It also just felt like a mishmash clusterfuck of every western game to come out the 5 years before it
I absolutely love this game, I see the flaws but it means a lot to me.
absolutely
>hi guys I’m Cidney!
>nice to meet you Noctis, Gladiolous, Ignis, and Prompto. I’m gonna need you to go out and rescue DAVE
Ya, in the first half of the game. The last half is a dumpster fire like all of nu-Squeenix.
This game has the best ending ever made for a Final Fantasy game
i had a lot of fun with it, i wish they had been able to properly put the story together. with a better late game, some more sequences like the stretch with iris, and a little more love put into the world, it could have been amazing. i see how the combat is kind of silly but the characters and world and art really did it for me. my autismal ass even loved pitioss ruins, lol. what a ridiculous dungeon. it feels more like a joke made by a modder but im glad its in there.
i was about to uninstall it after abt 100 hours put in, is it worth doing the dlc chapters?
Yeah.
The DLC's of the game are all really great.
My favorites are Episode Ignis, Episode Ardyn and Episode Prompto.
You can point with the perfect precision when the budget run out.
Venice
> A desert map full of lame dungeons and Bethesda radiant quest quality side quests.
> story sucks from the beginning when a home you have never been to gets btfo'd but you have no frame of reference to care.
> Doors that take you to the story when your done fucking around in shitty quest desert limbo.
>shitty aesthetic, about 10 npc models, monsters literally from asset packs bought from different companies.
What's good about it exactly?
yeah no shit
Did you notice that the map has JPEG artifacts from where they zoomed in to cut out what they didn't include?
How can I make the combat fun or at least skip it quickly? Should I rush to get the Ultima Blade? Is there a good place to farm xp at level 20? I basically want to trivialize combat for the rest of the game.
1. Buy cheap as dirt potions.
2. Use them.
3. Congratulations you're immortal.
I played it at release and really didn't like it. I hear it got patched to hell and back, but I traded it in shortly after finishing it. Took me 16hrs, including a number of side quests.
Huh what you mean
Better than VII Demake that's for sure.
The monsters design it is actually the best of the entire saga.
Because it is graphically stunning.
(this is not an opinion, these models are objectively amazing and really well done)
Levels matter more than weapons. There's a way to grind to max level as soon as you hit the open world.
I can't remember any of them but Aranea's Araneas
Only played the royal edition and had fun with it
Looked up what it added afterwards and HOLY SHIT THIS GAME WAS TRASH AT LAUNCH
Most of the things I liked were only added after launch.
Thats been a thing forever.
Just look at FF6
Everything after the leviathan fight (including the fight) was complete shit.
I really enjoyed the initial Crown update version. The added content made it a lot better, imo.
Fuck that one dungeon you know the one. In fact fuck all the dungeons behind those big locked doors.
I love the dungeons of the game.
The forest, tge vulcan, the caverns.
All very unique and great
Its optional end game pit of 100 trials tier shit.
Its not needed unless your a turbo sperg that HAS to 100% everything
Not having shit unlock when you reach the end would be worse imo.
Sure, but still disappointing. Can't believe they decided to make a blatantly unfinished and hacked together game a mainline entry. Should have kept it as a spinoff, but I guess it's representative of current state of the series as a whole that the most recent mainline entry was unfinished
There's not actually any content in the forest though
>completely gutted story
>worse visuals
>worse gameplay than the demo we got
it's shit
Because its a dungeon.
Dungeons only have some loot and a boss in every entry.
I am a turbo sperg that had to 100% but all those dungeons looked exactly the fucking same and sucked ass.
Not what I was talking about retard.
This, it totally did not deserve to be called Final Fantasy 15.
Call it "King's Journey" or something and then I would be ok with it.
>I am a turbo sperg
Same
>that had to 100% but all those dungeons looked exactly the fucking same and sucked ass.
I walked my ass right back out after realizing what they were when you hit the first camp spot and started up FF8 after finishing some hunts
I'm probably going to go back soon and finally get around to it but
>all those dungeons looked exactly the fucking same and sucked ass.
This is entirely true.
Still better than literally nothing though, its pretty much just endurance rounds for both your party and your psyche.
Super Paper Mario did it worse with 300 floors to get through if you wanted to do it all.
Hold O to win
*laughs in Ridoranian*
You talking about FFXII? Or one of the MMOs
Because youre right if talking about 12, those dungeons were something else.
Hold O to be cheesed by uninterruptible enemy attack animations.
It really doesnt add that much, boy
It changed a shit load of cutscenes, added an entire end game area to explore, added 3 vehicles you can actually drive where you want
The DLC thats included with it lets you explore the snowy wastes near niflhiem, gives you an alternate ending thats better imo, and one that let you play as the final boss in his DLC
It also added a brand new end game puzzle dungeon you have to fly to get to, a new summon to earn with the crossover content, and also gave spergs a8 or so challenge dungeons that are simple endurance rounds for bragging rights.
Oh and accordo is part of the open world now as well
>didnt add much
Compared to what?
>Compared to what?
probably to everything that they showed pre-release but was cut
>prompto DLC lets us explore the snowy area finally
>ignis dlc lets us have gang war shit in accordo during leviathan raid
>ardyn dlc lets us explore insomnia before its destroyed and get cool hats
Why is gladios dlc so shit?
It was nice to get Cors backstory but really?
You can say that about lots of games, doesnt make what they do have any less enjoyable just because some jap over estimiated his abilities.
>zelda
Has entire dungeons cut every game
>dark souls
You dont wanna know what happened there with 2 and 3
>uncharted
areas and story beats are cut each game for work time and cohesion
It was the first one and the devs are incompetent as fuck. At least the cor fight was fun.
No.
a big difference being that those things that are cut are usually hidden in the code and found by datamining, with 15 we had trailer after trailer after trailer filled with cutscenes that would never appear in the final game
Not for souls and zelda.
Not for tons of titles whos E3 reveal never ends up in game.
No.
That's FFXII but it only had all that side-questing because SE treated it like a MMO
The only MMOs I like are single player so it works for me. Namely FFXII and Xenoblade 1.
Probably because connection issues cant be a problem and I dont have to worry about retards pulling the super boss in a stupid way.
The VA and other JRPG facets doesnt hurt as well, some story moments and cutscenes are miles above any mmo.
Man the map design of this game sucked. You run out of gas immediately after leaving the city. The world is completely empty and soulless.
>tfw you realize there is no Niflheim to drive around in, let alone explore
>You run out of gas immediately after leaving the city
No you dont?
I had to force myself to run out of gas or get damaged enough to see what would happen.
Even when using the offroad vehicle
Yeah but really its just midgar user, look at all the pipes in the capital building, shit looks like a mako reactor and the rest of it is normal city shit.
At least we got insomnia before and after though
the gameplay was a boring slog and that keeps me from buying any of the DLC
the idea of spending any more money to do more of this was a turnoff of the highest caliber
I played it for 1 dollar because gamepass.
Also good luck with that against anything that one shots you because thats common when you reach super bosses.
>if i show this against mooks im right
Hold accept to win is a thing in every FF since 7 when your fighting mooks as well btw
>Also good luck with that against anything that one shots you because thats common when you reach super bosses.
good thing you can use potions (that heal at a % of your max HP) at 0 HP to get back into the fights that you can spam with no limit.
XV is a casual pandering mess of a game
I fully agree.
With all the content released this game became a huge, great and magnificent Final Fantasy game.
I'm really enjoying this beautiful adventure
>with no limit.
Well only 99 times, IIRC
That's still not fun gameplay though
That lowers your maximum health until you use an elixir.
Name a single other FF from 7 onwards where items are even necessary once you get cure.
>what is auto abilities
>what is cast on death
You arent making your case any better.
Having auto-revive is literally a staple in every title and is also very easy to get if you arent stupid.
Fucking FFX is a great example on how its literally not even a challenge once you get haste.
>but squares baddd
They havent changed, your just too stupid to notice it in past games.
>Well only 99 times, IIRC
for potions, and then there's also Hi-potions which you can carry 99 of. So that's 198 extra lives
