Is any game ever going to surpass it? Not even BotW could do it.

Halo 1 has a far higher score than 89.
Remove the +5 nostalgia points and the nintendo bonus.
>+5 nostalgia points
are you retarded
the reviews are from 1998
>only 22 reviews
RDR2 would have a 99 if it had only 22 reviews
more like +20
Nope, no games will ever capture the real feeling of adventure that OOT still gets down perfectly to this day.
It’s genuinely one of the best games ever made from a time when vidya was made out of love.
We would have had multiple Zelda gmes better then it if Aonuma hadn't crashed the franchise with Shit Waker.
+nostalgia points
dangerously retarded
Elaborate
a lot of games surpass it
oot is the most overrated game ever
overrated boring garbo LMAO
OOT is hot garbage. Play a real game, like A Hat in Time.
>Remove the +5 nostalgia points and the nintendo bonus.
shut the fuck up child
>Zoomers will never feel how amazing was to defeat Ganon
>play a tranny in time
zoom zoom
majora's mask is better tho
That's like saying Newton is the most overrated scientist because other scientists after him figured things out that he didn't. Other games only surpassed OoT because OoT laid the very groundwork they are standing on. Despite better games having been created since, none of them come close to being as revolutionary.
Nope. Too many contrarians nowadays (see Jim Sterling). Someone somewhere will score a game lower just because they want to, regardless of what console
Glad you admit that OOT has aged like shit.
WW is better than OOT.
>nintendo bonus
Funny you say that. Nintendo Power, the biggest Nintendo reviewer at the time, was the ONLY one who didn't give OoT a 10/10.
Who cares? It's a nostaltard game that gets a free pass and gold stars for being nintendo. Even now, you'll get whiners calling everyone a "zoomer" if the slightest criticism hits overrated mediocre childrens' games.
Keep dreaming kid
> nintendo bonus
people are still shilling this retarded meme?
All games are for children
>A Hat in Time
>the reviews are from 1998
Turns out you're the retard.
A Hat in Time is fucking garbage
99
>>>/boomer/
This but with Ocarina of Time.
Did reviews not critique framerate back then? because even as kid then I felt it was pretty choppy, everything else is kino
Also needing an expansion pak to play Majora's Mask is the most proprietary bullshit ever
What the fuck is nintendo power? A website that didn’t worship the game up and down? Big deal, I’m sure it still gave it a 9/10 just for being Nintendo
>tfw they’ll never experience stepping out from Kokiri Forest for the first time
Kill yourself
This shit is seriously overrated. I will never understand zeldafags.
>wanting people to die for not liking the same games
Zeldafags, not even once.
Anybody else notice that the people who don't like Ocarina of Time at all are really young people, contrarians, or hardcore Sonyfags?
No, they weren’t autistic yet and 3D was still a relatively new feature in videogames.
Agreed on the expansion pak for MM though, I just play the Gamecube version nowadays because of that shit.
OoT and LttP both have the same issue of being TOO much about the dungeons. The dungeon designs in both are fantastic of course, but they're not balanced with enough exploration or downtime activities the way some of the other games are. I would say ALBW and LA are my overall favorites for balancing a lot of dungeon crawling with the more lighthearted elements the series does best, and MM and BotW are strong examples of games that play to Zelda's strengths even if the focus is taken away from dungeon crawling
Yeah, it’s really sad.
Based comment
How'd he get up there?
Its one if the most important milestones in gaming.
You can literally split the gaming landscape into BEFORE OoT and AFTER OoT.
I think the first part of the game with Young Link has a better balance of this especially since the world isn’t buttfucked by Ganondorf at this point.
>those pants
>you can only dislike muh nintendo game if you're young, hate things others like to be contrarian, or a snoy
The absolute state of fantards.
>What the fuck is Nintendo Power?
How fucking young are you? Christ no wonder you hate this game, you weren’t even a concept in your parents’ mind when it came out.
Yeah I agree there. I actually just replayed OoT a few weeks ago, and I definitely appreciate the sense of urgency in going from place to place as Adult Link to unfuck the world, and I think the game does a spectacular job of making it feel as though your actions are having a tangible result on the world getting better. With so many areas having their own mini-dungeon leading up to the actual dungeon, I felt the fatigue setting in by the end, though. It's a very old game and their first attempt at 3D Zelda though, so obviously I don't fault them for not being perfect on the first try.
It's impossible. There will always be a Jim Sterling or some other faggot who gives a perfect game a bad score for the clicks.
I’ve been replaying it lately, should I just stop collecting Gold Skulltulas after 50?
I’ve heard the final prize for 100 is really lame compared to everything else.
nah ocarina of time sucks and fans defending it are just the usual strain of nint0ddlers who seriously think perfect games can exist
>What the fuck is nintendo power?
No. And I like WW, first Zelda I beat
Yeah, you don't have to collect the rest
If you're not a completionist, I would just stick to the critical path in Ocarina of Time. Most of the side activities besides fishing are way more tedious than fun, and the rewards aren't worth it.
Its not that good. Honestly, as a kid I enjoyed MK Mythologies SubZero more.
>I’ve heard the final prize for 100 is really lame compared to everything else.
Infinite 200 Rupees
Yeah it's just tedious.
it's amazing how this game still holds up well today
Getting 100 skulltulas turns link into a nigger so don’t do it
Would you still recommend going for all the heart containers? I don’t mind looking up a guide for some of them although I’d prefer to try and go as pure as possible.
Also are the magic beans worth using at all?
The final prize would be decent if there were a need for rupees, but you hardly need rupees throughout the game as it is, and especially by the time you've killed all 100 gold skulltulas.
Getting all of the gold skulltulas is more for the challenge than the final prize.
>What the fuck is Nintendo power?
As someone who didn't play OoT during the time it came out, I can say confidently it's still really fucking good even today. It's just a great adventure and I find it amazing how they released this shit back in 1998. It honestly makes no fucking sense. It's got good gameplay, a cool story, an adventure that shows you almost every part of the world, and probably one of the coolest Links ever across the whole series.
I also want you all to know that I fucking hated Majora's Mask and thought it sucked. I now understand why so many people thought OoT was better, and that's simply because it's a better, more fun video game.
The infinite Rupees come in handy for playing minigames and fishing.
There's only a few spots where it's worth having Magic Beans to use, I want to say 4 or 5 in total in the game where they're necessary for a Heart Piece. Going for every Container isn't too bad so I guess I would say you can do it no problem
Yeah heart containers isn't bad, though I'd try to do as many as possible by yourself first. There are a few obscure ones though. Beans are worth it, though I think there's only one or two pieces that absolutely require them
Unless you really suck at the game, you can comfortably win with just 10 hearts. You can still go after all the heart pieces if you just want to get the most out of the game though
Magic Beans are probably the only worthwhile money-dump, and they do lead to more Skulltulas and Heart Pieces.
>Only 99
I bet whoever didn't give Ocarina of Time a perfect 10 could make a better game themselves.
Oh wait, it's historically proven they couldn't.
>Is any game ever going to surpass it?
>only 22 reviews
It would've already happened if other games got this kind of treatment.
