If I had $2000 and no increase in responsibilities, I'd put it towards development of my app, which I then might actually start working on but my cowardice won't let me learn coding. If I could just get a working demo posted I think I could get enough traction to just pay someone else to keep working on it. Apparently a competently coded app starts at around $25,000 though, so I don't know how far $2000 could get me started. My current budget is $700, and that's only because I have that much in credit card rewards points. If I can just get enough to get a following then I'm sure I could get setup on Patreon.
Of course, it's a shopping companion app so who knows how well that could blow over right now
