It's Waluigi's first game. In order to prove that he deserves to have his own game, he said he will beat Luigi at some extremely difficult platforming races. Every level is an absolutely insane kaizo-tier game, but Waluigi is cheating, and time doesn't move until you move (because Waluigi has a time warping device). Even Luigi can't move unless you're moving. You have to beat Luigi to the end in each level. The catch is that you're required to not only perform the level absolutely flawlessly, performing mad tricks and frame perfect jumps, but that you have to cuck Luigi along the way (it's designed so that Luigi will definitely win unless you mess with him at least once). Even though you control time, there is also a greater timer ever ticking down, and when it runs out you're fucked and you're on your own, everything starts playing normally (this is really just a fancy Game Over screen, because the platforming is so kaizo tier difficult, except you might actually still be able to win if you're really great, the kind of thing that's really hype and the best examples of such will all be in a montage on Youtube). Challenge levels, akin to the comet challenges in Mario Galaxy, will be called 'malfunction levels', where the time device malfunctions. In some levels the rewind feature stops working, in some Luigi still moves in normal time no matter what you're doing, and more.

Instead you receive wounds and injuries dependant upon what you were attacked with and what part of your body was hit.
Some wounds are permanent so you can lose a finger and your skill with that hand will be fucked for the rest of the game.

You could start with something like Mordhau that already has location damage, problem is you can't have every enemy running around with 800 active hitboxes checking to see if they're colliding with weapons. Might work for a specifically 1v1 game though.
