I'm interested either way, just make a combat system that is fun this time and also doesn't make me want to cut my testicles off when I don't have spare food

Sauce?

This. Will be buying it unless thye something really fucked.
What I would like to see.
1- Bigger dungeons, like the old games
2- Better combat like this dude
3- Caves, caverns, darkness and you need to light your way.
4- Much more enemy variety. Each biome should have a unique enemy e.g. Molduga. Not just Bobkoblins, Moblins, Lizalfos everywhere but different colours. Also limit spread, e.g. Lizalfos only in hot/temperate areas. Maybe Bobkoblins only in temperate, cool etc, but not snow and volcano.
5-A way to re-forge weapons. I do like the fact that the durability means you use a variety of weapons, but by end game you should be able to make what you want
6- A Zelda buttplug mini game

>just make a combat system that is fun this time and also doesn't make me want to cut my testicles off when I don't have spare food

Imagine being s button-mashing pleb lmao

Literally just add more enemy types, one unique attack for each weapon, and add weapon durability visible in the menus / on screen and allow weapon repairs.

And make some dungeons longer.

There, its all fixed.

Literally OP's ass, but I agree with their speculation

The combat has a bunch of really sloppy mechanics that give you god mode for taking advantage of them and kill you if you don't want to do things the cheap way
I don't think it's fun, and it's not a simple issue

>the cheap way
what do you mean by this?

Shrine puzzles integrated into the overworld, not an "elevator to blue puzzle dimension behind a loading screen"

Use your spirit powers, get diabetes by inhaling food, have so much armor that nothing does any damage
Also the parry system is clunky as fuck

1. Removal of shrines, puzzles integrated into dungeons found across the map
2. Subterranean areas/cave systems
3. More enemy variety; doesn't fucking matter if they can't hold a weapon for you to pick up
4. More items; bring back stuff like the grapping hook and magic spells
5. (Fuck you, you can't stop me) More to do in water; diving/fishing

play master mode sometime, even when using those to the fullest extent it can be difficult to win...sometimes due to the shitty durability system.
>parry system is clunky as fuck
I don't understand. I have no problem with it and it wasn't difficult to grasp early on, what's the issue?

I guess my problem with BotW is that it plays nothing like Zelda, it's a good game but i feel like it's your typical open world game with the characters modded to look like LoZ characters

The thing is that the problems i have with BotW are the same problems i have with many other open world games out there with gigantic overworlds with not much to do and what is there to do is one or two dungeons copy and pasted everywhere with their pieces rearranged so people think they are different

Like, i much rather have like 4 good dungeons than 20 generic ones

anything else i don't know because while i think i played a great game with BotW it didn't feel like Zelda to me at all

Attached: gf.jpg (224x224, 6.5K)

Don't forget the brittle weapons.
Iron boots alone would really open up the game and create a bunch of opportunity to make areas more sense through magnetic walls/ceilings and underwater areas.

I don't want it to be hard, I want it to be fun
And it isn't fun when you have unfair mechanics in both directions
The hitboxes for parries and flurries are only loosely tied to enemy animations. Also flurry rush is a terribly one sided mechanic

Agreed on flurry rush, it's much too abusable. I had a lot of fun with the combat since I didn't typically abuse the flurry rush. Master mode made it more fun because I had to use arrows, bombs, and the environment much more often.

>1. Removal of shrines
Shrines are still like at least 50 times better than empty holes of fucking nothing.
Maybe no need to make the entire game revolve around shrines, and they should have never all looked the same aesthetically, but shrines in themselves aren't bad.

If Shrines are removed completely I'd be disappointed.
The adventurer caves from A Link Between Worlds were some of the best content of that game too and those were essentially shrines.

Attached: Hidden_Hole_Interior_(Ocarina_of_Time).png (1920x1080, 1.07M)

Yeah, I don't get why spears were even a thing when they didn't have more durability and shattered just as often after being thrown.
I guess removing them entirely would be extreme. I don't know, dress them up or something. BotW had so many and they all had the same clean exterior (even in the desert or snow) and go to a load screen.

If you compare shrines to the holes in the ground, I would welcome maybe 25-50 of them if we can get real full length dungeons and key items back

>I get to stare at Zelda's ass all day
Based Nintendo

Attached: 1576531509253.jpg (680x680, 77.24K)

I think as a whole the game tries too much with combat options and they end up being abusable or terrible. I would have more fun with it if their team focused on enemy AI and balancing the fundamental sword/shield/dodge so that the player outplays the enemy instead of baiting fir a flurry and downing extra hearts when Link gets hit

I'm already interested in a sequel.
Playable Zelda is a bonus. I wonder how they'll do it though: AI-controlled partner that you can swap to? Entirely separate campaign story? Who knows. Regardless I want lots of costume options.

The only thing that comes close to being a dealbreaker is needing more enemy variety. Holy fuck BotW was abysmal in that regard.

unironic incel shit

agreed. Half of me wants another classic zelda game and half of me wants an upgraded BOTW. I know it'll probably be open world but a part of me yearns for a classic Zelda game again.

I'd honestly be pissed if Zelda is the playable main character though, I may not even buy the game desu.

I think the problem lies in the gigantic "overworld" the game has and the necessity of filling it up with something

OoT had this problem of lots of holes and secret areas that are just there to give you rupees or for a Deku salesman to try to rip you off. Majora's Mask had this too but since there were only 4 dungeons, extra areas mostly existed for heart pieces and the same goes for BotW

It's likely never going to happen but i wish they just got rid of the overworld. I cannot think of a single Zelda game that had a good one, every time i replay any Zelda games (MM, OoT, TP, SS for example), the overworld is the WORST fucking part of the game because there is nothing to do

i'd much rather have big city sections and fast travel between them

This is a shit opinion that should be kept to yourself.

Spears were the most underwhelming part of the game for me. Literally only one attack and they were always weaker than other weapon classes in the same tier. There was never a point in having one unless it was elemental.
That would be nice. I found myself missing the ability to do specific attack directions--although it wouldn't matter much since the game was designed around the one basic attack and enemies with shields have a magnet to your weapon. If they cut back on that, it would be a nice addition to make the combat more engaging without having to rely on tricks and activated abilities.
>no darknuts
>no tektites or skulltulas
>no armos
>no poes
>no gibdos or redeads
This shit was almost infuriating by the time I finished the game.

Did you quote me accidentally?

whoops.

>darknuts
>armos
>redeads (the knights at least)
Stupid to not have these considering their weapons are in the game

fucking right? when I saw the royal guard weapons I got fucking pumped but nope in hyrule castle it's just a bunch of barbaric beasts wielding blades of hylians.

>It's likely never going to happen but i wish they just got rid of the overworld.
Fuck no. That was literally Skyward Sword and it was the worst thing about that game. Thank god Skyloft was soul overload because it was all the game had.

>all those big ass swords
>UHHHHHHHHHHH GIVE THEM TO MOBLINS
>no Like-Likes in a game where you get gear everywhere

Hey, it's just my experience with the games

Like, the most recent one i played was Majora's Mask and i kinda like that Termina Field is pretty much just a hub world, it doesn't take long to get anywhere and the real meat of the game is in the 5 cities (Snowhead, Clock Town, Ikana Valley, Great Bay and the Swamp)

>feed a like-like enough good gear
>it evolves into a special like-like
Yes or no?

Why do you guys want fucking playable Zelda? Why does this keep coming up?

What the fuck is wrong with you idiots? In what way is her character even remotely appealing to want to play as?

no idea man but im on your side. That damsel being playable as an adventure is fucking cringe, big cringe senpai.

playable gerudos
more enemy types
better dungeons, maybe randomized ones
ditch the retarded weapon durability

remove durability but make like-likes an ever present threat.

>remove durability
Nah. Just implement it Three Houses style.
And make it so that weapons don't shatter into nothingness unless you throw an already broken weapon. At which point it'd b a very deliberate choice.

Attached: 1582188030.jpg (900x506, 127.66K)

i rather have 3 unique weapons than 100 generic ones

you could even make them rewards for sidequests

Unique doesn't have to mean unlimited use.

i wish it did though

weapon durability is a bad way to balance weapons

>to balance weapons
Personally I wish they would double down on weapon durability, so that preparation and resource management before jumping into a dungeon became a genuine thing.

hmmm, i'm torn

its just that the whole concept of weapon durability is weird to me because it pretty much always annoys the player in one way or the other

or maybe it's because i've never seen an iteration where i felt like it was fair and balanced

I HATE the red under eyes on this model. Why would they do that?

how about bringing it to any other platform except that piece of shit switch. No? Ok

Ever played a roguelike? As in a genuine one and not a roguelite.

1 - We know there will be caves and underground (from the trailer) so make this a big sprawling mass that covers almost the entire map. Only 1 entrance at first and little to no resources inside, so you have to explore through it and open new entrances as you go.
2 - Underwater content, either coral reefs in the ocean or flooded caverns
3- A way to mitigate the weapon degradation. not remove, but maybe have a system to "favourite" a weapon that can be repaired at a blacksmiths. Lgendary weapons like the Master Sword and Champions weapons dont break/exhaust.
4 - Fishing

>Ever played a roguelike? As in a genuine one and not a roguelite.

i don't even know what those words means anymore

caves

>there will be caves and underground (from the trailer)
Personally I kind of hope that BotW2 will be 3-layered. At minimum.
Floating islands in the sky, Skyward Sword style, but way more than just Skyloft.
The surface, or the current state of it and what's left of it anyway.
And the dungeons and caverns underground and what's left underneath where all the floating islands used to be.

Literally all I want in BOTW 2 is more monster variety and for the shrines and dungeons to have more variety in it's textures. Also, monsters in the dungeons instead of mini guardians.

I don't give a shit about playable Zelda. All I ask of the story is for Ganondorf to be awesome, and all they have to do to clear that bar is do what they always do with Ganondorf. He may be a generic evil guy but that's all I ask for with him. If they can top his Wind Waker appearance, that's just gravy, but I'd be greatful if he's basically TP Ganondorf 2.0

Pretty much this. I'm ready to accept it, but unless it's just in certain circumstances like Medli in Wind Waker, I won't be thrilled about it.

I had an idea that you have permanent weapons that you can buy in towns or earn, but they work on a sharpening system. They don't break, but you have to keep them in good condition or they'll go dull and be less effective than disposable monster weapons.

Zelda has always been playable

>Why do you guys want fucking playable Zelda?
An extra playstyle focused more around magic would be fun.

1. Real Dungeons
2. Classic Hyrule not apocalypse shit
3. More waifus
4. Zelda Ass/Tiddies grow/shrink depending on what you eat

>doesn't make me want to cut my testicles off when I don't have spare food

how the fuck do you run out of food when you have a basically infinite supply of full heals

Sad and cringe.

proper dungeons, proper item progression, combat that isn't so cheesable, worthless and better off avoided, and pad out the world with more than just seeds and shrines

none, botw is perfect

>Playable Zelda is confirmed
If you can't play as her whenever you want and change her armor set I'm not interested

The sky was the overworld and it was barren as fuck.

They never played BOTW and just jerk off to the porn, if they had played it they'd know Zelda is a massive dork who can't fight.
