From what I remember, most of OG Lara's weapons in the first game were basic guns. It was the style and mobility that made it cool, plus fighting crazy shit like dinosaurs.
Lora has the opposite problem. She's geared up like fucking Rambo and has no issues chucking an icepick through a dude's skull as she guns down an entire militia, but the gunplay is bog standard Uncharted climby-shooty fluff, while her meek physicality and constant mutterings of self-pep to accomplish mundane actions in cutscenes makes her look like a goddamn schizo.
