I'd go as far as saying its reliable enough to play something like the Oasis from ready player one.
The only problem that we have is the lack of software for it. We have 50 good games at most, but this is mainly because we've only had about 4 years of development for this tech.

The problem with biometric feedback based gaming (i.e. thought based controls) is that you have to train yourself to think/feel a very specific strong emotion for the hardware to detect it (unless electrodes are implanted in your brain)

You could probably design a game for it but it'd have to be something like QTEs and the type of thing you have to think/feel is like "Remember a time you were on a rollercoaster and you started to go over the edge and you felt butterflies" not "I want to shoot the gun"
