I just played through the entire demo with Riesz Angela and Charlotte, it's a lot of fun, it felt much better to play than trials of mana in the mana collection

i feel the game system will be about buffing debuffing while skillfully dodging enemies while skillfully in the full version. there will probably be a stiff uptake in difficulty at around 1/4th of the way into the game.

If they were gonna make attacks dodgable they should've made the damage when you actually fuck up and get hit higher
It feels like they do turn-based game damage but you can just dodge and kite them into charged hits instead now
Otherwise the demo was nice, I hope Hard mode isn't so easy still by the end of the game.

I played the Switch version.

The Good:
The remastered music is good compared to the Secret of Mana 2 remake.
The character models are quite nice
The Japanese voices are good
The Jiggle physics
The new skill / Level up system

The ugly:
The pop ins on the Switch version
Washed up environmental textures at some places

The bad:
The controls feel a bit clunky
The fps dips on the Switch
The English voices

Like the normal game. Buffing and Debuffing was important.

Why is hard mode so easy?

I played the Switch version as well before I tried PC. And trust me, two of these bad points can be fixed simply by going PC. Stable 120 fps which also gives more fluid controls, still a bit clunky but not like on the Switch. Voices? Just change to Japanese.

I played through the demo with Duran, Angela and Kevin as my picks.
Played on hard, and breezed through. I really like it though, it's a noticeable improvement over the original game.
The english voice acting sucks dick though, there was a scene where Duran lost his shit at the fortune teller and the voice didn't match up with the character animation at all. The voice actor was just calming reading lines when he should have been ACTING angry.
Turned on jap voices and they're great.

Get the HP Boost ability from the priest and leave it be because I think the two I already have on both characters are superior. Thanks, I guess?

It's unclear if you keep them if you respec, but you can choose to use any outfit that you've unlocked rather than be locked into your current class design.

Original had auto leveling. You get skill points in this version when you level up and you can choose to allocate them in one of the stat (STR, MAG etc) Each of these stats also have skills and stat boosts linked to them that you can unlock.

Just finished it and it's pretty bad. Combat is way too simplistic and the game is too easy, story is beyond retarded, animations are really bad, presentation and cutscene direction suck ass and NPCs are terrible.

Characters are sorted into pairs which gives you extra story and determines your main villain and final dungeon.
The pairs are Angela/Duran, Hawkeye/Riesz, Kevin/Charlotte. The first character you select is the protagonist, the next two are secondary characters. Unless you pick Charlotte as your third you won't get your third party member in the demo though.

You pick Duran and Angela, or Kevin and Charlotte, or Reise and Hawk. Third character is up to you.
The reason is because those duos share plot points and the same last boss.

to be fair it's the beginning of the game, the original was really easy until you got the ability to fly and then the difficulty spiked (still wasn't that hard though)

I've played the PC, PS4, and Switch versions. PC and PS4 are the way to go, dont even think about getting the switch unless you really want portable meme.
