>in almost all Persona 5 Royal reviews, they say that Kasumi is alright and cute
>but they say that Takuto is an amazing character that should have been in vanilla P5, and that he’s intricately woven into the story
How does he do it, bros?
In almost all Persona 5 Royal reviews, they say that Kasumi is alright and cute

Kasumi and Takuto are the only decent characters in this game, and you have to buy for a 60$ expansion for it
Takuto is a much better and thematic final boss than Shido/Demiurge.
We just keep winning Takutobros
>blatant ripoff/mix of Jun and his father from P2, complete ripping off being possessed by Nyarlathotep (Azathoth) and granting peoples wishes (Dreams)
>WHOA SO AWESOME
All it does is prove that every single decent thing in P3/4/5 is stolen from the superior older titles.
if you think persona 2 is good you a fucking moron
Not even worth replying
Based
it’s that but better
>based goro comes back and gets away with everything
PICKED UP
>>based goro comes back and gets away with everything
He doesn't, the Goro in the added semester is just a fake one created by Azathoth like everything else in the dream world, he's still dead once you break the dream world and go back to real world.
>complete ripping off being possessed by Nyarlathotep (Azathoth)
Loreret, Takuto was in control the whole fight and Azathoth is a bro that went down with him instead of just using him
> he's still dead once you break the dream world and go back to real world.
You can choose to make him alive too, the devs let you pick which one you want
>Like what Itou said, we let the player decide what the final answer is. I know that this will be polarising, but after building a relationship with Akechi and coming to the final choice, the players all have different feelings about this character, we don’t want to interfere with that. We reviewed the opinions from the development staff and decided to not give a clear answer ourselves……There were lots of debates and conflicting views, and in the end we had that split-second where you see the [protagonist’s] mask in the reflection which gives the feel of an illusion. However, that ending can only be achieved for players who genuinely wish for Akechi to be alive.
>Takuto was in control the whole fight and Azathoth is a bro that went down with him instead of just using him
Doesn't change the fact that Azatoth was self-aware and his own entity and practical effect was still the same as Nyarly being Joker's persona in P2 and granting people's wishes.
The point isn't that they ripped off the whole game, the point is that P3, 4 and 5 keep ripping off elements from 1 and 2, quite shamelessly at that, and those ripped off elements tend to be vastly better than any "original" material in 3/4/5.
That's not how it works, you didn't play the game.
This developer comment is referring to the new ending scene in Royal, where once Joker boards the train to ride back to his home city, he looks out the window and sees a guy in school uniform walking by the train station that happens to have exact same haircut as Akechi (you never see his face).
The developer means that it's up to the player's interpretation whether you interpret this as Akechi being alive, or just a random dude with same haircut as him.
Glass half-full/half-empty kind of deal.
That's literally it, you'll see for yourself once you play the game you EOP.
That is literally what i said
Not really, what you said is that you can actively make a choice in the game whether he lives or dies which is completely false.
Once you break the dream world everything goes back to how it is, complete with Akechi being dead.
It's quite literally a "dude it was all a dream" type expansion.
Also Royal's events aren't even mentioned in Scramble and Akechi is still very clearly referred to as being dead.
So get fucked fujo.
>Once you break the dream world everything goes back to how it is, complete with Akechi being dead.
That is already false as waka said its all open to interpretation
>Also Royal's events aren't even mentioned in Scramble
Takuto's palace is
>So get fucked fujo.
I am not even a fujo retard
>Takuto
>Blatant ripoff/mix of Jun and his father and the final boss from P2.
So you didn't play the game at all, got it.
Especially since Takuto always had control of what he was doing, and he was legit doing everything because he thought was the best, not because it was actually just part of a bigger, more evil scheme.
Jun's real dad is in the game as well you fucking retard, the Nyarlathotep-dad from the finale is not the same as pic related Jun's dad.
Congrats on being a moron.
>and he was legit doing everything because he thought was the best, not because it was actually just part of a bigger, more evil scheme
So did Jun.
>nusona toddlers and fujos still damage controlling that their shitty games arent just soulless ripoffs
lmao
persona 2 doesn’t exist
>buzzwords
Go back
No, I know that, you idiot.
I mean that Takuto isn't being baited into doing what he does, nor he is being controlled.
Takuto, unlike Jun, is trying to fuse the cognitive reality with ours because he honestly believe what he's doing is the best, even though we know by that point it's only going to hurt everyone in the long run and thus you have to fight him 2 times, both as his misguided and TRUE self.
>I mean that Takuto isn't being baited into doing what he does, nor he is being controlled.
And I never said that was the case, I literally said back here that it's correct, it's just irrelevant to the argument at hand you goalpost moving illiterate moron.
Because he's fucking right.
The only reason you disagree is if you prefer not being coddled. Which is fine.
The lyrics to his theme are the best part really, I love lyrics from the antagonist's perspective giving extra background to his motivations:

Another example of this I really liked was Yin Yang from Persona 4 Golden's anime adaptation which is from both Adachi's and Yu's perspective going back and forth.

Fuck off Takuto, face reality
I genuinely don’t understand why Persona lyrics are in English. The Japanese are actively missing out on great character moments this way. Like in “Heaven” and “Throw away your mask”. Seems retarded to me.
Because Lotus Juice writes them and he's trained in classical music and literature, unironically. He just took his talent as a poet and became a rapper.
>u didn't played it!!!
Please come up with a new one
But Lotus Juice didn’t write the lyrics in original P5.
You replied to two different posters
Lotus Juice literally writes most if not all lyrics in Persona games, even when he doesn't sing.
He isn’t credited for anything in P5 but he’s credited for Royal’s songs.
I assume they just kept stuff in English for consistency since Lotus Juice already established things in English in P3 and P4.
Yes user. Because
>yeah flooded apple pie, left until somebody cries
>three dots connect to rectangles
are amazing lyrics.
>cherrypicking
Retard, he writes extremely good thematic lyrics when it matters, see Or this: youtube.com
You should have picked Heaven. Shits a banger.
There's plenty of examples to choose from, I just gave some.
can't wait for takuto porn
Not by Lotus Juice actually, composed by Meguro and written by Tanaka
granting wishes is a staple of the series though
All P5 fanboys are identical
One of them is shitting on P5
bump
Is scramble any good? I heard Royal added content is better than the original because god fucking lord do I fucking hate the main plot after Madarame. Did Scramble make a right turn as well?
Also can someone vouch that the bonus content in royale's plot is better than whatever trash was after Madarame?
The new content is great story-wise but the problem is that it's completely back-loaded, as in you need to max the new school counselor dude's social link during main story of P5 and then AFTER you beat the final boss, the new content actually starts.
As for Scramble, it's okay but it's still a fucking Musou so if you've played one you've played them all.
Scramble has some decent moments, but it almost feels like a retread of Persona 5 with them trying even harder to make the villains sympathetic. The main antagonist is the only one who gets a pass because she is literally suffering from autism and wants to cure it.
Third semester is one of the strongest arcs in the entire game since the Royal builds up to throughout the entire game.
Royal’s new arc is probably the best arc in the game but you have to play through the whole game to get to it.
I'm surprised if they managed to turn it around. I completely hated Shido and Yaldy. Would I like Royal? I hated how flat the characters became and how one dimensional with MUH PHANTOM THIEVES they became. Akechi was also kinda lame and Shido was just boring evil. Yaldy just felt like extra content for me. He felt really forced in imo.
I hate how obvious they made the counselor guy be "evil"
The new antagonist after Shido and Demiurge is great precisely because of how relatable and "grey area" he is. And naturally he has build-up in form of his social link which you need to max out during main story in order to trigger the new content to actually start after Demiurge.
Takuto isn't evil. He's an antagonist, but he definitely isn't a villain.
But he’s genuinely sweet and gentle. He’s not fake like Adachi and Akechi.
my bird bride
does royal go into more depth with this part and its implications?
also why do they throw this at you in the last 2% of the game? the idea that society was the problem all along, and that people with distorted desires were the true rebels, is easily the most interesting thing they did with the story, but it gets 5 minutes of time alloted to it and is never mentioned again. the phantom theives, by removing these distorted desires in individuals, where actually operating as enforcers of this very society is a genuinely interesting twist and it really made me think
Takuto is actually well written unlike the other villains
Nope
Well the villain makes a world where everyone’s dream comes true. To genuinely make people happy. But then he says “You’re going to accept it, whether you like it or not”. Because he believes he’s in the right.
It's funny because from what you can piece together with scramble, most of the jail guys are grey area done pretty meh
