Alright, let’s try this again since the mods auto-saged the last thread for some reason. What are some vidya with great movement that make just going from point A to point B an absolute blast? I’’m talking stuff like Jet Set Radio Future, Spider-Man 2, Prototype, and Gravity Rush.

Super Cloudbuilt.

If you have the phrase “what are some games” in your OP, it automatically gets autosaged due to the mods being morons. And to answer your question, Sunset Overdrive.

might have to do with those being off topic shit 99% of the time

Just Cause 3

Titanfall or Titanfall 2 have good movement. Not the same as those games but if anyone is looking for a shooter. First one is better but dead though.

To a lesser extent:

Batman Arkham Games: they have fun movement for getting around the city like batman.

Prince of Persia Series: Great platforming acrobatic moves.

Mario 64: When you get good, maintaining momentum is a blast.

Sonic Generations: almost any sonic really, but I'm putting this one in since it hits both classic and modern styles.

Man,I was too young to fully understand how great jsrf was. The ost is fucking amazing and the levels at least most were amazing. My dumbass didn’t realize you could unlock the other characters by doing specific tricks and shit. I really hope Microsoft makes it backwards compatible.

I’m playing through JSRF’s postgame and getting more graffiti souls to unlock more test runs and it is an absolute blast. Once you get to that point, the fun just never ends and it’s insanely replayable to boot.

>JSRF isn’t compatible with the Xbox One
Fucking WHY?

That sounds retarded.

nigger I love JSRF but the movement is not that great, the moment the game requires tight platforming (which it does way too often after the first few levels) the controls shit the bed

Fuck tripfags but I’ll cosign this. Wingsuit + grappling hook is amazing

I never really had a problem with those. JSRF’s movement is simple to pick up but hard to master on the later levels, which is how I like it. There is a nice flow to how you move as well as some weight to boot.

You should check out the DLC that adds a jetpack. It kinda breaks the game but it's super fun.

Prototype 1

Is this game still worth picking up today?

absolutely, I think the level design shit the bed a few times but there's nothing really quite like it (except the original but that has it's own problems)

>except the original but that has it's own problems
Those being the stiff physics.
It's honestly not worth revisiting today unless you're morbidly curious.

Yes. The style alone makes it an absolute must-play and it’s really easy to pick up and play.

I was talking about the terrible QTE's that kill the pacing. I guess JSFR does something similair when you have to fight the police but at least those are actual gameplay

I think it might have to do with licensing issues or the developers not giving it an ok yet. Since Microsoft I believe have stated that any game can be backwards compatible but they need approval from the devs. Hopefully they announce it as one when the Sex drops cause that’s when they’ll start announcing more backwards compatibility games again.

I’d honestly wish that SEGA would just make an HD port already? Did they lose the source code or something?

Licensing issues, birthday cake is fucking them over hard. I wish they'd just rerelease it without that song, it might be the best song on the soundtrack but I'd rahter take a new version without it then no new version.
JUST FUCKING ASK NAGANUMA FOR A REPLACEMENT TRACK

Is there a working xbox emulator that can perfectly or near-perfectly play JSRF?

are cibo matto greedy jews?

I dunno, maybe they just don't want to be associated with JSR anymore
CXBX can run it, but I get a lot of frame drops to like 40 or under. but that might just be my machine

I love Birthday Cake but I honestly wouldn’t mind if they replaced it with something else. Plus, I can always play the original for it.

>birthday cake
I want that song in so fucking badly but if it’s really fucking them over that bad I still like Aisle 10. HELLOOOOOOOOO ALLISOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNN

i never played radio future, but i own the orignal on my dreamcast. It really never felt good to me, it was too floaty and had no speed.

I would recommend tony hawk pro skater 3

JSRF has amazing art direction, OST and controls, but the level design is often bad and the game is almost a collectathon instead of a arcadey time attack game like the first one.
The first one has great level design, but the controls and camera arent good and the game is much smaller than the first one.
A combination of JSR + JSRF would be one of the best games ever made.

What jokes would they put?

There a reason they havent done a rerelease of this one?

I AM COOKING FOR MY SON AND HIS WIFE

See

>bring back the qtes but do them in slowmo if you start tagging on a rail
>have to do them really fast
y/n?

The most controversial song in video games. Half of the people hate it, half love it. Nobody is neutral.

Time attack sucks pp, I'd rather have collectathon gameplay that lets me explore the city.

Licensing songs is an issue but the first the first game had it too. They can just replace them. The problem is that JSRF was partially funded by Microsoft and they are also owners of the game. SEGA cannot release it on its own.

>YES I AM COOKING FOR MY SON AND HIS WIFE

Well that blows.

Agree with this.
>air dashes
>homing cannonball attack which follows airborne targets
>using buses as skateboards
>running up and along walls
>getting to rooftops with a single jump
>jumping from helicopter to helicopter
Such a joy to just move around in.

Is it backwards compatible with 360?

Attached: image_cover.jpg (570x400, 59.71K)

>Batting dudes with tank cannon

God this game is to fun, pretty sure is the only good hulk game too

It is, but it lags like a bitch.

I doubt Birthday Cake is fucking them over. It's likely the Latch Brothers stuff.

>using the whipfist to jump from helicopter to helicopter
>putting on armor and just smashing through civilians from left to right
Fun times

All this JSR talk, did anyone play Hover?

JSRF was my shit, man. I recommend you try the Midnight Club series if you want to try racing games, it's essentially going from A to B fast as fuck. 2 is probably the best place to start.

I liked SO. A little annoying but still better than BL3 or The big Band theory.

SHUT UP AND EEEEEEEEEEEEEEATTT

this

The fight segments in Future are nothing like the QTEs in the original. At least there you're actually in full control of your character and doing something, in JSR the tagging QTEs are literally just coming to a full halt and pressing some arbitrary inputs before the game can continue.

Even worse is that certain movements are unresponsive, like the ones that require you to rotate the stick in a full circle are finnicky as fuck.

I 100%'d the game (Jet rating on all levels) and honestly my only complaint is the tagging system being so obnoxious. Especially in the later levels where there's like 30+ tags in the level, and you have to specifically go out of your way to get the XXL ones first, because if you try to do them last, the cops will just be raping you while you're trying to do them.
