Unlikely. Your clocks are better than consoles and I sincerely doubt devs will be suddenly able to utilize so many threads. Multithreading is already difficult as it is, games won't suddenly start utilizing 14 threads.

I was really thinking about it but the stuttering in a lot of newer games was starting to be to much (hunt showdown in particular) and now it runs like butter. Yep, you can start using a controller with steam the second you connect it and it has various presets for keyboard and mouse commands, incluiding the ability to assign specific layouts to specific programs (browsers, photoshop, macros for RTS games, etc)
Steam then automatically switches between controller configs depending on whether your desktop or a game/something else is in focus.
