False. Enderal is main quest heavy while in Skyrim you can fuck off after Helgen and do whatever you want wherever you want for as long as you want and with whichever race you want. Enderal doesn't try to be a TES, it's just build in one's engine.

Like I literally ran through the main storyline the first time I played it without doing much side stuff, and realizing that was the ending made me never want to play it a second time.

If i remember correctly it's from devs of Nehrim, a mod to Oblivion, which was a trashy generic medieval turd with quantity over quality design, cringe writing, voiced at home german acting and was praised for no reason by countless newfags back in the day. So considering that Skyrim is infinitely worse than Oblivion, i can only imagine how shitty Enderal is.

How's Underspace coming along?

I played Enderal and I like it a *lot*. The world is much more dense than skyrim, the dungeons are well-designed, the game really rewards you for exploring, the talent trees are good, the main plot is pretty interesting for a modded game. You're in for a good time.

That's literally what it is. But somehow it ended up being one of my favorite RPGs this last decade.

The fuck? I was so bored out of my ass today I saw this shit was installed so I started playing and then this thread pops up.

You can usually figure out if you like a game within the first few hours of play.

Yeah. I think out of all three it's probably my favorite. Nehrim recycles a LOT of the same elements (the bank, the trains, etc), but it kind of felt like the quests overall had more gameplay variety to them and Enderal in general swings juuuuust a little big too close to pretentious (which is undermined by it being a Skyrim mod. It's hard to take a little boy crying for his father as he dies of disease seriously when his body suddenly ragdolls around the room).
Not to say I didn't enjoy Enderal, it's just that while Arktwend was a really bad fantasy novel and Enderal that more edgy modern deconstruction, Nehrim was the best balance between the two.

I found the start wasn't that hard, but then again I always play shit like using one of the starting fire/lightning/whatever spells while slashing with a sword/axe early in Skyrim/Enderal. Continuous chip damage plus strafing and a weapon kills most shit fairly easily.

To be fair, I played it with the overhaul mod so I might be wrong.
I'd replay the shit out of it if it was ported to SE.

Arktwend always feels like it was made by two people. One a brilliant designer and artist, the other is his dipshit kid brother who he let onto the project. It's not bad if you're a Morrowind diehard at least.
