You're right that the ending was very bad. But anime sometimes expands on things and add (decent/good) fillers when it comes to manga adaptions. Won't surprise if they will extend the ending and show what happened to more people.

fighting games are the least innovative least technically impressive most derivative "genre" there is
every single one has the exact same core gameplay loop (if you can even call it that) and is purely reliant on graphics and animation (which are almost always shit to boot) to distinguish itself from the rest

The Pernida fight was the highlight of the final arc for me, second only to the Kenny v Unohana fight.

A lot of people don't like the Mexico arc, but it's got the best OST hands down. Bleach is full of great music, but Espada flamenco still holds up.

Your problem is that your measuring power levels based off of Ichigo's own erratic power level. Everyone else's power levels remain consistent (fullbringers are less powerful than Captains, Sternritters about equal to Captains but less durable, Schultzstaffel and Royal Guard above Captains,ect.) Ichigo and Zaraki are the two characters with the least stable powerlevels because of their special circumstances.

Then you weren't paying attention, because those have always been Ichigo's strengths.
