Cancelled and its budget was absorbed into P5 spinoffs

You know it to be true. There is no confirmation, but that gut feeling deep in your core. You know.

I have no evidence of this but we all know it's true.

should've bought TMS

seriously wonder if Atlus gives a rat's ass about this fanbase anymore. I mean I was looking for it to be my first entry into the series, but this was the first game Switch announced in the early presentation, and fucking Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 which was trashed and being re done will drop before SMT5.

I did. Actually, I got the code for 30 euros.
I still don't understand why people say TMS #FE is SMT Lite (omg both games have letter M, S and T in their name, Half Life 3 confirmed!!!) when, in fact, it's Persona Lite.
Good game, but it's not worth more than 30 euros... which bring us to Tokyo RPG Factory and question why to they even exist and why do they sell their games for more than 5 euros, but that's for another topic.
Mamori is fucking great in combat. Draug is definitely one of the (if not THE) best Mirage in the game.

>I still don't understand why people say TMS #FE is SMT Lite when, in fact, it's Persona Lite.
I never saw anyone use the "lite" to describe the game, but the game is clearly closer to SMT than Persona, I don't get your reasoning.

no way fag

If that means no more Ultraman Odin, then so be it.
Fuck Doi and fuck guest artists.

SMT is all about killing your friends for (wrong) ideals. Persona is about dating your friends, teachers, local prostitutes and overall being a good guy. TMS is definitely closer to Persona. Hell, even dungeons look like something taken from Persona.

>SMT is all about killing your friends for (wrong) ideals.
That's just at surface level, characters get killed because you chose one route and a game needs enemies. SMT has more focus on its message than characters.
And dungeons are more SMT than Persona in their structure. P5 wasn't released when TMS came out, so Persona was still barebone on that point.

If it's combat is like IV:A or better I'm gonna coom

Not OP; but here's a question for you. How many games did Atlus put on the market? Ignoring the mandatory Nintendo vs Sony fanboy wars (and portbegging), Atlus did nothing. They ported Catherine on Switch and PC, released updated Persona 5, re-released censored TMS for the price of a brand new game... And? No SMT news, they killed Etrian Odyssey (are they even aware of the fact that Switch also has a touch screen?). Unlike other companies, they are not porting/remastering ther classics (DDS, Nocturne, Persona 3...) and ar not even releasing new games. If Persona 5 Royal doesn't sell 5 mil, and it won't, Atlus will probably end up like Konami.

>hating on doi
he gets demon design, blame the producers if anyone

>P5 wasn't released when TMS came out, so Persona was still barebone on that point.
That is correct. But you do know that Persona 3, 4 and finally 5, follow the exact same structure? What I mentioned in my post isn't ''exclusive'' to Persona 5 only. (although I have to admit, I don't remember teacher fucking in Persona 3)

I won't say that #FE story is more like SMT but it's not like Persona either. Despite people saying otherwise, Persona plots tend to have a specific topic fir each game that they dive into like death, social perception, ect. #FE doesn't really do any of that.

>obligatory ''b-b-but Strange Journey'' post incoming
Outside of the combat, which is just re tooled Strange Journey, the Carnage system is a fusion of the mantra system of DDS and the Weapon development system of SJ. Also Mirages are demons, not Persona.

The dungeons also resemble DDS more than Persona.

Today I will remind them. Also the first mention of P5 was in fucking 2011

OP is not serious. he's baiting for whatever reason, maybe even just to get a ball rolling for an smt thread

>Also Mirages are demons, not Persona.
Yeah, not really. When enemy attacks, he/she/they attack and hurt your characters, not your Mirages.

>re:Fantasy songs
Wait, what? We know fuck-all about the game AND we've never actually seen if there is a game, but there's already music from it being used in other games?

That would assume P5 spinoffs have any budget

I didn't said your post only talked about P5, but to be more precise on the dungeon part.
TMS dungeons may "look" like Persona dungeons to you, but that's only visual, and Strange Journey also had similar visuals to TMS (well, same team obviously). In terms of exploration, it's closer to SMT4 for exemple, with more puzzles.

>SMT is all about killing your friends
Based imbecile.

t. neutralfag

And you said this based oooon...?

>Being surprised that Fatlus are slow faggots

Just like Persona 5?

fucking atlus, announced smtv way too fucking early lmao what retards

Yes.
gematsu.com/2019/01/project-re-fantasy-concept-video-music-discovered-in-catherine-full-body-demo

smtiv was bad who cares

I'd rather swallow hydrofluoric acid.

What's stopping you?

TMS combat is quite literally persona but with demon co-op instead of knockdown, why do you guys keep pretending to be retarded

good I hope it never comes out, the new demon designs look like utter shit

Sounds like someone's only played Persona. You can easily emulate a lot of the games, user, there really is no need to be stuck in weebshit still. The training wheels are off.

how does smt even differ from persona? isn't it all the same shit?

No...?

alright then, it's FFX combat, not SMT
You're even locked to 3 party members
and how the fuck are you pretending TMS isn't weebshit

>WAAAH STOP RUSHING OUT HALF-FINISHED PRODUCTS TAKE YOUR TIME
>wait what the fuck why are you taking your time

its too late bros atlus has went chaos route

This Yas Forums guy sure is stupid.

>it's budget
Its a niche jrpg only available on switch. Its "budget" is probably 3 packs of gum and a 12 pack of beer.

> 3 years of absolutely no news whatsoever and Atlus really is vehement on not saying anything about it
Yes, they're just taking their time. Of course. Yup.

Attached: confront.jpg (720x405, 25.42K)

Is the Switch worth getting? All the games seem more expensive and run way worse. But the portability factor really is a plus for me. I just wanna play in my couch. Im waiting for the alienware ufo but with tue corona shit fucking up supply lines im sure it's not gonna be on the market for at least 2 years.

People aren't asking for a release you dumb fuck, most of them just want ANY info about the game, it's already been 3 years since the last teaser and we haven't heard anything substantial about it since then.

If this was true I would be so pissed.
No reason to get a switch then

thats not new with them. They just like revealing they're working on something too early. Persona 5 took years before they gave some more news after their initial reveal.

>Persona 5 announced in 2013
>Released in Japan on 2016
>SMT V announced in 2017

Standard practice for Fatlus. Are you new?

They re use the same demons but smt is the polar opposite gameplay and thematically wise.

After P4, the director went on to make Catherine before fully focus on making P5. Catherine was released in 2011

Also more dev time were added for PS4 version since the initial development was only for PS3

P5 was in dev long before its announcement.

>tfw we could have gotten this dagda but we got stuck with the edgy r/atheism one instead
It hurts bros

It wasn't fully in development until 2011 because the director was making Catherine.

>It was three years between the P5 announcement and release
>But this three year release for SMTV means shit is doomed
Here's a free (you), kid

Atlus announcing games and not giving news on them for a long time isn't unusual for them, they even announced SMTV while telling everybody it was very early in development. I would like it if they released some new stuff, but I don't doubt they will in the future, unless you think they announced SMTV, EO Next Stage and Project Re: Fantasy with no intention of actually releasing them. Between P5 Spinoffs, EO Nexus and re-releases of SJ, Catherine, P5 and Radiant Historia I doubt they're on the verge of bankruptcy, even if not all those games were huge successes financially, especially not thanks to their P5 related games. I highly doubt that the three big games they have in production right now are all cancelled, when they already have a track record of going too long without updates and they even announced SMTV too early on top of it, it's much easier to assume that it's just taking a while than to assume they would just give up on all of their biggest projects together.
