Unironically this, play Sven Co-op or Garry's Mod, and you've got all the important features of VRChat with none of the bad ones and some gameplay and scripting on top of it. VRChat is only semi-decent for ERP and trannies.

VRChat should be VR only and they should have actually tried to give it some gampelay potential with scriptting. They just doubled down for ERPers/streamers and Quest and the game is as awful as it was first time I played it in 2018.

Inverse Kinematics. VRChat models are full, they have elbows and knees. VR headsets have only three points of tracking (more with Full body tracking), so position of the chest, elbows, knees is calculated.
It used to be that this was calculated locally by your machine. It was more resource expensive, but looked much better and there wasn't this much lag. No way Quest's CPU could handle doing it, so they pushed an update where IK is calculated, interpolated and sent by the server, which makes it look robotic, delayed and generally it took a lot of appeal out of VRChat, especially when people dropped 300$ to move their legs and hips.

VRG was my first contact with /vg/ and I deeply regret it.

Yeah, VRChat has some nice envoirments and some gimmicks to offer, problem is most of those worlds support only a small playercount (it can be as low as 2 players per instance), so /vrg/ will NEVER visit them because they only visit the worlds that can hold a meetup.
