A hacked wii is my next venture now that my hacked PS3 is set up. Do people still play COD wii online? It's fun as fuck the times I got to play it.

I don't have a convenient way of having my computer hooked up to the TV and it's nice having a box of movies that I can just boot up with no fucking around (and the abundance of streaming services that hacking gives you too)

Because I probably have those games as physical copies. I'm not even a rich fag, I've just been playing games more time than you, I think.

I sold off my PS3 games when I installed CFW. It's just more convenient to run them from the hard drive instead.
Physical games in general are just a stopgap until a DRM-free solution arrives.

Because there's literally nothing to play on it. The PS3 was a failure of a console, it has one fucking game, Demons Souls. After you've beaten that a few times, it's a hunk of shit you'll never touch again.

Compatibility is about the same percentagewise, but some games work on one and not the other. Performance is a bigger concern.

I have a modded version of every 6th generation home console as well as a softmodded Wii.
I've been meaning to get my hands on a second PS3 to mod since I was always a little nervous about getting my existing one banned somehow. One of my friends gave me his old fat model but it appears to have cooked itself to death after the thermal grease dried up.

Yeah just did some research and found gameplay videos. Goddamn the performance is horrendous, no wonder they scrapped ps2 backwards compability early on. Might have to look into getting a modded PS2 then, because PS3 library is trash and I probably have all the good ones already.

I've accidentally went online without using PSNpatch a bunch of times over the last two years and nothing ever happened, also hackers in older COD games should indicate how not banned you're gonna be nowadays.
Also I've repasted a PS3 before and it came back pretty strong, it's worth it.

The emulator you use on PS3s that lack vanilla PS2 support sucks, but the ones that use the real hardware is about as good as any scph 75000 PS2.
It's still not a good idea to use that because those consoles are time bombs and you don't want to burn their lifetime out on PS2 games.

So have I, and you're right, but this thing has the YLOD. I don't think there's anything I can do for it besides maybe giving the motherboard an hour in the oven.

How to use pkg and rap?

Quick question, what exactly is wrong with hen? I've been using it for a couple of months for games and dlc and it works like a charm.
What features does it lack?

Install the pkg file using package manager on the XMB, then install the rap file (without renaming it) through PSNpatch.

>copy pkg file into your PS3 pkg folder so it shows in xmb
>copy RAP file to either a folder you can access from PSN patch or a flash drive
>install pkg
>open PSNpatch and activate RAP files from there
boom done

Not sure if this applies anymore as another user mentioned that getting your PS3 banned isn't as a glaring issue as it used to be, but I was advised against HEN as it's less secure than using PSNpatch on a fully CFW'd system.

Many. I'm able to launch just about any game and get into a match. I just played some RDR1 capture the bag, bretty fun.
Games that were shut down officially have had revivals through CFW too, like MGS4 and Demon's Souls.

Never been b& on HEN but everyone says higher B& risk. Only big thing for me besides that is no PS2 ISO, have to convert your PS2 games to PSN games using a program that takes forever.
