The gameplay could sure be improved, but they've already shown us that they don't want to do that when X3 took minigames that were in X2 out, so getting rid of them completely was the next step I guess.
What they could do is reduce the ridiculous amount of grinding. And add beach football, there's easily enough girls for that now. Or flesh out the jetski races, or come up with some excuse to add surfing, or bikes/rollerblades/skateboards/whatever, it's not like making a fun game is impossible.
But the gacha makes way too much money for little effort compared to making a properly playable game like that, so why would they bother. Hell, even the photo mode is ass and it's like the main component of VV.

Few things to mention
>You can upgrade your SSR accessories using the R/N suits you have - costs more but much better than waiting/hoping for getting the upgrade materials
>Event Shop has 30 roulette wheels for 250 event currency a piece
>The Roulette Tickets you get for rolling the gacha you can exchange in the Owner Shop
>There's also 56 full roulette wheels for 500 free V-Stones a piece in the Owner Shop as well.
I would wait with buying the ones for V-Stones for now, since you should be able to complete most of the courses with the stuff you can get without using the stones.

You use the roulette things to roll, whatever the girl lands on is what you get. There's accessory materials, three spaces with EX Lotions SSR tickets/coupons etc.

At level 90 the accessory will give +600 to the stat which is good. Good luck getting there though, since getting the unlock materials takes forever.

Does it matter in pool hopping if my girl is in trendy suit or not? Can I freely choose the starting course to take?

For Momiji, it's pretty much her best suit with Killer Spike on it. On DMM she has the bath bubbles but that's a fuck you huge banner and it has the same skills and 90 more POW so it doesn't matter.
For Leifang it's her strongest non-paid, non-collab POW suit, Leifang herself is TEC but the suit is indeed strong.
Misaki already has her Pinchos and also the Sandwich on Steam so this doesn't help her in any way.

No it shouldn't matter. And no, you go through the courses in order. Once you reach the end you go again from the sixth course.

You may not like it, but this is the optimal body for Earth-Moon travel.

If you want the roulette stuff, then yes.
Now I see where the catch is compared to what I'm used to from DMM.
The new set of matches still drops gold hearts and only the bonus matches drop silver hearts, this will not be fun...
