How is anyone supposed to beat Berserker?

Attached: DMyZtD1WAAUFQUV.jpg (797x596, 90.79K)

Ask Gilgamesh

Uhhh he is beaten in each chapter of the VN.

Just kill him 12 times

>onii-chan
>is actually his older sister
what did illa mean by this

>O MY TRACED SWORD THAT KILLS 7 TIMES

mentally and physically she is a child

EA gg

You could just hit him with a lot of mana right in his face. Then do it again until it sticks.

Just Overkill him for 12 times his health.

Shoot at him until he dies (x12)

No evildoer will get pass?

Do what Gilgamesh did.

Gilgy is a chad and Shirou is a moron.

Kill Illya instead

>character is known as the first hero
>"maybe he has a vault of all the weapons all the other heroes eventually get!"
>somehow this ridiculously overpowered idea is never really explored
>gil just gets the ability to summon portals anywhere he wants that shoots anything inside of it out faster than sound
It just feels like a complete departure from the original idea and character, and seems so random. Character has a chest, so his fantasy version can control time and space to summon that chest anywhere, at any speed? Lmao.

Why yes in a no holds barred fifth holy grail war we'd dominate, how could you tell?

Archer could only kill Berserker 5 times in Stay Night, but Shirou with Archer's arm easily x12 kills a version of Berserker powered up by Sakura's power in Heaven's Feel.

What I mean by this is that Nasu is a hack and a bad writer.

>enemy has 100 hp
>do attack that does 700 dmg
>he dies 7 times
huh???

>"maybe he has a vault of all the weapons all the other heroes eventually get!"
Well he does, but good luck finding any specific weapon in that vault of every weapon of every hero.

Don't forget a regular human with regular human magecraft was able to 1) not be crushed to death by THE HERO KNOWN FOR SUPER STRENGTH and 2) actually killed hercules by herself at least one time

Kill him 12 times with overwhelming force or have something that bypasses it (Surprisingly many Servants qualify for this if using Spin-off material), immobilize him or seperate him from the Master and then kill the Master, RURU BREAKAH is probably also effective since Medea undid his Berserk Curse in myth, not that that would help Caster much (And Mad Enhancement is a Nerf for Herc), because Casters exist to suffer.

Just hit him hard enough to kill him 12 times over bro

>eyes ontop of the air
do people really pay money to "play" this garbage

Prease understandu, I can only drawu Saberu

I think people only "played" Fate/Stay Night to COOM as teenagers and then got hooked on the "lore" because they were that age where Nasu writing looks attractive.

I want to smell Illya

>got hooked on the "lore"
I still can't wrap my head around this lore is Nasu's biggest weakness the lore has always been the worst part

What i mean is that it reeks "Chuuni" with POWER LEVELS and ROCK PAPER SCISSORS and MAGIC INCANTATIONS and SPECIAL EYES.

Im calling Fate "Babbys First Eroge" for 13-15 year olds.

Nothing in this setting makes sense. Excalibur is Earth's secret weapon designed to destroy space alien invasions. It's nonsense.

Forgot immunity to the same weapon

Not a single person played this to coom when it first got translated, newfag. You can stop pretending.

The whole all weapons shit doesn't make any sense.

yeah get that but I always see idiots saying they read/play fateshit for the lore it just makes no sense to me especially sense lore is just lore it's how it's used in the story that matters

>eop thinking he's relevant to anything

>the same reductive arguments
Every time. I actually read the vn and it was average at worst. The amount of hate it gets from retards like you is unwarranted.

>hey we got a relic to summon Hercules himself
>lets make him a mindless berserker despite him being even better as an Archer
Einzberns are fucking retarded, they keep trying to stack the decks in their favor only to fuck themselves over even worse.

>Survives a nuke broken phantasm.
Herc is stupidly broken.

Attached: hercules takes a nuke to the face and lives to roar mindlessly about it.png (805x651, 459.44K)

Based ESL retard!

>Einzberns are fucking retarded,
After their previous attempts were all due to shitty Servants, or Servants betraying their masters, I kinda understand why they wanted the STRONGEST HERO but also take away his free will.

>Fate route opens up with Saber getting her ass handed to her by Berserker.
>Then she gets her ass handed to her by Assassin, supposedly the weakest "class" of Servant.
>Shirou spends his time thinking he needs to protect Saber instead of relying on her strength until the final battle.

>UBW route, Saber and Archer (Shirou in the future) team up to fuck Berserker.
>Shirou sees how badass she is and decides rightly that she can handle herself and rely on her strength.

Say what you want but the way the routes are organized is really fucking good and kinda poetic.

Attached: Shirou accepts that Saber is fucking strong.png (804x649, 231.81K)

There wasn't much in terms of balance in the original VN.
Usually every servant had something overpowered about them, which was their ace, that's the whole thing about concealing their identity for as long as possible.
It's only after the first route that you learn Lancer was ordered to fight every single servant while holding back.
Berserkers are some of the strongest physical servants but their madness enhancements make them next to useless on other fronts.
Remember how Heracles can't use his NP or skills with other weapons because of it?
Or how a a fully powered Alter Saber could kill him in a war of attrition.
Or how Gilgamesh's chains were so stupidly effective on him because of Heracle's divine trait.
By that logic Lancelot was a better berserker for having arms mastery and being able to take control of every weapon around him to keep up with Gil but in truth his madness enhancement was also a detriment for not being able to keep head cool fighting Saber.

What is the best part of Nasu's writing

Attached: 9a8d3d3defc7e71784b2c641aedb62b5.jpg (728x1109, 151.76K)

If Herc was summoned as a Saber or Archer he would've immediately realized what was going on with Illya and the Einzberns and slaughtered those soulless golem fucks.

I like that Type-moon fights are decided based on situation, surroundings and chance first and technique second. It feels way more grounded in spite of all the clearly anime shit.

That shit didn't make sense. Did it just kill him and he revived, so they thought he was unharmed? It doesn't make sense otherwise.

these days he has no good writing but before I read it for the characters

>Say what you want but the way the routes are organized is really fucking good and kinda poetic.

Any other examples of poetry in Fate, UBW and HF?

>Nasu's biggest weakness
If by "biggest weakness" you mean he puts WAY too much thought into every single little detail then yes.

Attached: mental magic.png (802x603, 702.1K)

>What I mean by this is that Nasu is a hack and a bad writer.
You had me going before this, you fuck.

He is too lazy to actually try and if anything proves difficult he just use the "I WIN" sword

A couple off the top of my head.
In the Fate route, Shirou is being trained by three "teachers". It's subtle but Saber trains his body (sword fighting), Rin trains his mind (magic), and Archer shows up to tell him that those things are secondary, that he's useless in a fight by doing his best with swords and magic. He trains his (soul) by telling him what he's REALLY good at - projection.
I didn't catch this my first read through but it's really well scripted and kinda subtle.

Also Archer mentions during one of his "you suck" lectures that there are "8 steps to archery", from the stance you take to drawing the bow, letting it fly and even relaxing your posture after.
In the UBW route, Shirou first projects by using "8 steps of projection". He uses his archery "steps" to project weapons.

And finally, pic related. Fate route is Saber's "hell", and UBW route shows Shirou's "hell".

Attached: two hells.png (1587x584, 582.97K)

>but Shirou with Archer's arm easily x12 kills a version of Berserker powered up by Sakura's power in Heaven's Feel.
>POWERED UP
lmfao no you retard. That Herc was a skinless (no noble phantasm) berserker with 1 life. He was more berserk than usual and just randomly screamed and charged forward recklessly while swinging his sword.

Shirou only won because he's using Archer's arm, and even then after cutting the shit out of him he didn't kill him. Illya came out of hiding and made him hesitate so Shirou could strike the final blow.

It was a WEAKER berserker with ONE life left.

>If by "biggest weakness" you mean he puts WAY too much thought into every single little detail then yes.
if that were true he wouldn't be constantly contradicting him self also this a fight scene not lore

Yep, if SF's brief Archer Herc appearance is anything to go by, he'd slap the Einzbern's shit in and take Illya away to Kiritsugu.

I liked how both Tsukihime and FSN are full of plot holes and unexplained stuff when you read just one route but it all fit together (well, kinda) when you read the whole thing. In most VNs each route seems to be its own thing because the only point is the MC fucking a particular heroine.

>constantly contradicting him self
There's a difference between contradicting yourself and setting up an in-universe rule only to introduce "the exception" later.
In life there are always exceptions no matter what. Nasu is a fan of that.

He has his characters learn shit and think that it's concrete knowledge, not subject to change and unaware of the "exception" until it shows up. Fate is told through unreliable narrators. It would be different if the story wasn't told in first person, but you only get to know what the characters know, and what they know isn't always fact and it shows.

If you think that's "bad writing" you should seriously start reading some actual books, you'll see it all the time. It's a common tool for plot twists.

>d setting up an in-universe rule only to introduce "the exception
that used to be the case but now the lore's just a total mess and besides he always relied on the exception to the rule shit way too much

Whenever I ask someone to name plot holes they name shit that wasn't a plot hole and reveal they have no idea what they're talking about.

Are you guys different? Can you think of any plotholes? Caliburn's "7 lives in one strike" is the only thing I can think of, it's a bit dubious.

>just a total mess
Why is it a mess? I don't have any trouble understanding anything but the /Extra verse, that universe is just fucking retarded and should die and stay buried.

>All these perks
>Still got repelled by a fake Assassin

Even in the beginning it was all bullshit power levels.

their previous choices were retarded as well.
>lets cheat the system and summon a god of evil!
>whoops, hes weak as shit and corrupts our cup
>here's a better idea, we hire the best anti-magi assassin to kill the other masters in the war
>but lets have him team up with the paragon of chivalry he's bound to argue with
Had they let Kerry summon without a catalyst he probably would have gotten something like Assassin and finished the war in a day or two.

How does Kotomine get his shit stabbed by Shirou in the Fate route, all things considered about his actual capabilities?
