Revisiting the levels dragged a bit but it never took too long to 100% it. Great game, replay it yourself so you can refine your views on it, you'll enjoy your time with it.

I dont know why, I'm a weirdo, but I enjoy playing my PS2 games on my PS3 more than my PS2. Same with PS1 games. Something about playing somewhat retro games on a modern UI makes them more fun to me. Same with playing them on a super sleek bluetooth controller.

renders at 480i and bob deinterlaces with uneven integer scaling to 480p which causes pixel shimmering. PS1 is handled very weirdly with weird filters applied seemingly at random. I recommend playing games on an appropriate display.

PS2 had lots of online games and they did it without microtransactions and patches (bar Socom II I think it was) and all that other issues.
I do miss memory cards. It was so easy to take over and continue your game on another console. We have cloud saving nowadays but it always seems to be out of sync when I switch consoles.
If you wanted to play on a friends console in the early 00s you would pack up the disc and memory card and plug them in and start back up. Now you need to sign in with your profile, install/patch the game, fiddle with the cloud saves that won't sync right anyway, its a fucking mess.
Its another case of "no new thing good stop you are making me uncomfortable" when you bring up these shortcomings.
