No Perona is weird. Her moveset was kind of shitty but she’s popular for waifu purposes and has tons of merchandise so I figured they’d let her slide. Also pissed that they cut characters like Caesar, Kuma, and Magellan but kept fucking Iva. Actually one of the worst characters in the series both design and moveset wise. If they wanted an okama just put in based Bon Clay.

All the new characters looks pretty fun though.

I’m not super fond of them but Ichiji and Reiju look fun from the gameplay they’ve shown of them. As long as they put effort into the movesets that’s all I really care about. Didn’t think I’d like Marco either but he’s been one of my favorite characters to play since 2.

It’s weird that the characters that show off the least amount of stuff in the actual series seem to have the better movesets. I guess it’s because they have to get more creative with them. Meanwhile characters like Moria had garbage movesets despite having more to work with.

I would have added Cracker and Oven. Cracker showed off a lot of stuff and was beating Luffy’s cheeks even after he went Gear 4 initially. Oven was also a consistent threat throughout the later half.

Cracker isn't in this? That seems bonkers to me.

I only care about my boy Niji and no one else. Still very disappointed there weren't all blondes like Sanji. Like when their code names were introduced I didn't expect Oda to literally mean they were that color.

X Drake might be in based on a trophy image for unlocking are the supernovas that has him in it, but outside of Drake I think they've shown off everybody. there's always the 9 dlc characters in the season pass, but who knows how much of those will be new characters and how much will be returning. at the very least Perona and Enel will be DLC, if you ask me due in part to their popularity.

Enel already had air moves though. So, is not just air combos, but forms. Characters like Caesar, Enel, Moria have giant forms, but they are out of the game for now.

It pisses me off is how Garp will be out of the game for sure, even dlc. and how fucking mr.2 isnt playable AFTER 4 GAMES

We don’t know the unlock condition for the Supernova trophy. Like someone else pointed out, it could just be something like fighting each one at least once. Also the Japanese twitter labeled the last trailer as “all playable characters” so I’m pretty sure what we have now is the base roster. Seems like Drake got fucked especially considering his human form and renders have been spotted in screenshots and trailers. If he’s not a super secret reveal they’re saving I’m certain he’ll be DLC.

She hasn’t even been in the top 20 in the last 3 polls but usually hovers around 23-25. I don’t think she’s super popular but she was the first honorary Strawhat and stills gets merchandise regularly so she left a lasting impression.

yeah I know I was in the thread the user posted the trophy in and although it's unlikely he's playable since it already seemed like it was and according to the japanese twitter it is the final roster. which is a shame not only for them having the human form and the dinosaur form in the game, but the fact we also have his hybrid now and they had him playable in burning blood before we even knew what his hybrid form looked like.

She did place top 10 once, and than dropped a bit in popularity polls even after she was kicked out of the story. She's an honorary Strawhat who spent more time with the crew than Jinbei, who is an "official" SH member. She had tits, she had a personality that could put Luffy in his place during the Drum Kingdom stuff, and she had the meme duck.

It sucks if hes not playable, but i hope he is atleast a boss. Even before this game was announced i had ideas of certain characters being in pw4. He should start out as his biscuit soldier form, then when you fight him and he's close to death, you break his amour and the real cracker shows up, with a full heath bar . also his specials should be pretzel roll and summoning more biscuit soldiers to attack all at once. ( his taunt should be his clap dance )

They showed Katakuri’s, Big Mom, Kaido, and Cavendish having form changes so it’s not just Luffy. Pretty sure Sulong is just getting shafted. They haven’t shown it as a form change in any video she’s been in.

Apparently the developers said she would be able to go Sulong on certain stages that take place at night. Can’t find the source for that though and they still haven’t shown it outside her super yet so who knows.

Kuro didn’t do shit. Why do people want him. Arlong and Krieg I understand but Kuro’s gimmick was literally just “go fast and slash shit” and several better characters have that niche covered already. He was fine in the grand battle games when they didn’t have other choices at the time but he would add nothing to the roster at this point.
