All video games are pointless, the "goals" of video games are imaginary and disappear when you turn the game off
You set your own goals and then gradually work towards them. You get out of the game what you put into it.

I have a better question. Why was it that reviewers were so absolutely pissed off by the droning, repetitive voices in Yooka Laylee (I was okay with them, personally) but in Animal Crossing literally NO reviewers complain about the droning, repetitive voices? Double fucking standards much?
