higher difficulty reduces enemy HP, but also your HP. Using a higher accuracy weapon is much better tho

Even the starter pistol drops bandits in 1-2 shots provided you shoot them in the head at close range. It's not hard.

master is well and good for someone that knows what's up. but for literally years people would say play on master for your first time. which led to a ton of people dropping it after getting absolutely gunned down with no chance trying to save nimble

It's meant to kill the weak willed, though. That's why there's a spectrum on opposite ends between "playing on master" and "dying so easily."

The game is meant to push you to your mental limits. I was beyond broken when I was about to enter the Chernobyl NPP when it was about to go on meltdown. But even then, when I got inside, no matter how many times I died, I still kept pushing onward.

I will never have a feeling like that anywhere else in any other game. Not until I figured out what I desire from the zone.

This shit came out in 2007. Its just a shitty feeling having to cheese every mob at point blank. Having your Iron sights/scope directly on a target and having zero shots land when youre 20 feet away just isnt intuitive.

It's not for everyone. The start of the game, you are a scum-sucking scavenger. You shouldn't be able to rambo a squad of bandits until you've got decent gear, or unless you want to play smart and ambush them one by one until they're all dead.

I like that early part. I never use the tunnel to get across the bridge. I go up the hill and just throw grenades down and then take out as many as I can with a pistol, before coming down and finishing off the rest

How the fuck do you kill the soldiers under the bridge early on? I have a single grenade and can kill one(1) dude before the rest of them gang up on me and blast me to pieces. The starter pistol seems to bounce off these guys.

I'm gonna be real with you I bought it at launch and didn't experience any of the glitches people complained about besides poor FPS, so I have no idea what's been fixed and what hasn't.
