I got kappaman to show up after I allied with him vs katsuie in that one mission in ng+. Not sure if that had anything to do with it though.

His soul core is pretty neat, it fires off those slow homing spirits, and does extremely good ki damage to yokai and I think corruption to humans. I've been using it on my phantom forms

Enemies always react to the last hit in a combo with a block or something if they have the stamina for it so if you're using it to focus on ki damage, only hit square once before doing god of wind

I use scampuss and kodama and place benevolent graves everywhere.

It does more damage and significantly more Ki damage on top of opening the enemy up for another attack if it hits. Also the timing is just really fun to do and makes the weapon always feel very active and involving.

Some bosses let you learn a new skill when you kill them. I found one that changes your katana grapple into a soul-steal that refills anima.

A little bit. I love William. Also living weapon is way stronger than yokai shift. Thinking about switching to the William skin in post game. I think cutscene-kun convinced me.
