There's literally no grind in Odyssey which is the best kind of grind. If you just follow the main quests you'll be the right level for at all time.

Lmao no. Odyssey is grindy as fuck. Took me over 100hrs to do the main quest, and multiple times I found myself with not enough EXP to do the next chapter, even when I autistically clear every objective in the zone. Had to resort to doing those randomly generated daily quests to get enough levels.
As for fluff, Odyssey just has too much micromanaging going on, I swear 50% of playtime is spent farming mats, upgrading armor, engraving, scrapping, selling, equipping, getting perks, upgrading ship, etc etc etc. It's too much, and it's boring. Also the romances and dialogue choices are utterly worthless and just make the writing of the story worse overall
