How the fuck are they going to pace this game exactly?

Are they going to treat it as a normal Final Fantasy title where you start as a level 1 nobody and end up as a level 99 demigod hitting for 9999 by the end of it? or are they going to keep the progression the same as in the original where you barely learn any new spells before leaving Midgar? and if you do end up as the demigod as per usual, how are they then going to handle "part 2" of the remake? are you going to start that game as level 1 as well?

The more i think about them turning the tutorial area into a full fledged game the less sense it makes. Why turn an 8 hour midgar into an 80 hour experience when they could have remade the entire game and made that an 80 hour experience instead? we want to play final fantasy 7. not whatever shit year 2020 squareenix decided to pad the other 72 hours with.

its like they backed themselves into a corner with no positive outcome no matter what choices they make.

You ain't no fully-fledged pilot.

>Why turn an 8 hour midgar into an 80 hour experience
I was under the impression this would be a very short game.

>Why turn an 8 hour midgar into an 80 hour experience when they could have remade the entire game and made that an 80 hour experience instead
Because then you have a mediocre looking game with meme graphics like atelier ryza, trails of mana and trails in cold steel

I imagine it'll be something like the way Trails games do it, where they have a level range that you can start at in the sequel. No idea how they'll handle gil, material, limit breaks, and such though. Knowing SE, they didn't even fully plan it out before they decided on it.

They've said it's normal FF length and a screenshot released yesterday had the timer at nearly 40 hours.

source for screenshot? I didn't see that one I think?

>no sephiroth
>no gold saucer
>no cid space ship
>no vampire meme
>no funny cat robot thing
>no cloud wheelchair
>no giant impaled snake
>no nothing
imagine if they decided to remake terminator 2 and the movie ended right after arnold got the clothes, boots, and motorcycle.

imagine thinking you are telling a story with terminator getting the clothes boots and motorcycle

>no sephiroth

Why did you have to start with something obviously false? Also, there's an arena in Wall Market now if that means anything to you.
