Again, this decision was not made by Nintendo, but by Game Mania. They have basically been flooded with calls last week if copies would still be available at launch day.

I've had game mania break so many street dates on so many games. I got Just Cause 4 2 weeks early. It didn't even have the day 1 patch, and it was so bad. It's either 2 weeks or 2-3 days early.
