waiting for the leak

I'm honestly still worming my way through BotW, I keep getting distracted by in world shit

Should I buy DQ XI now or wait until Friday and buy AC?

DQXI will keep you occupied until AC comes out, but just keep in mind you're not going to be able to complete it before Friday since it's a 100+ hour game.

>200 hours in to Dragon Quest XI and still have millions of things to do
Yeah I am about to just fucking give up.

Playing FE:TH for the first time and doing Blue Lions route.
I'm at the part after the monastery ball and wondering if I can finish it before Friday.

I personally played that route on hard as my first one and it took me about 40 hours to complete if that helps you gauge how far in you are.

300, with no end in sight.

i dunno how many hours i have in RF4 yet since it's still saying last played whatever since I got my special edition Switch.

but I'm going to guess 20 hours by now. I really hope my exams are cancelled or are takehome exams but who knows what will happen in a month

How

I've got 20 bucks to spend on the e-shop. Any recommendations?

What kind of games do you like?

Eshop is down

>pre-ordered Animal Crossing physical nearly two months ago from Target
>now they’re saying my game might not come in the mail until next Thursday

I just bought the Switch this week and started playing SMO. Already have SMK8, Astral Chain, Pokemon Shield and waiting for BotW to arrive from Amazon.

Need advice on RPGs, which should I pick? These are the ones Im considering so far:
>FE3H
>XC2
>YsVIII

I still dont get the appel for Animal Crossing.

>didn’t pre-order Animal Crossing
>was going to pick it up at Walmart on Friday
>everything around me is closing
I hope it stays open

Touryst or Celeste.

Ys VIII for sure. You can pick up Tales of Vesperia for really cheap too normally.

Also DQ XI.

I'm probably not getting AC but I'm playing Breath of Fire III for the first time

Mulaka

Ill keep Tales in mind.
DQ XI i played on PS4, i dunno if it is worth for the 16 bit style...

I like sword stuff. Soul Calibur, Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, some Metroidvanias, etc.

Beat TMS yesterday probably ganna work on my pokedex in sword. Maybe eventually start up Astral Chain again.

I was gonna buy Atelier Ryza but the shop is down REEEEEEE

Celeste has been fun. The downside is
>Madeline is a cunt
>Feels very linear
>Only 1 way to solve most segments
>strawberries don't unlock anything
still haven't tried the B-side levels

I bought DQXI and I've been loving it so far, really recommend it if you like JRPGs

finally got my own switch, and I've been playing mario kart while waiting for new horizons to release

Just got a Switch, playing pokemon sword right now first pokemon I'm playing.
Recommend me some games; already plan on playing Fire Emblem, Shield, xenoblade and astral chain

>thousands of pre-release copies of New Horizons are out and about
>nobody has leaked it yet

DQ11

I have never played a DQ, is it ok to jump in to 11?

this.
if the direct happens and it introduces some major news like the highly anticipated Switch Pro (I know, right?).
if I want to get a Nintendo console it should always be the latest goodest build.
I am dreaming too big.

Luminous Avenger iX
Picross S & S2
Mighty Gunvolt Burst
Cuphead
Sayonara Wild Hearts (though this one has way less replay than the others I listed if you're concerned about money)

Yes there’s no continuation in the story

>FFXII Zodiac Age
and
>Dragon Quest XI

both should keep me busy for a bit

Yeah it's perfectly fine. DQ (for the most part) has self-contained stories

It begins

thanks lads, any other Switch rpg like exclusives? Already finished BotW on pc

I have no Snitch but I gotta tell you.
definitely consider Mario Odyssey, ExMachina and Breath of the Wild.
also, don't ever bother playing the other version of Pokemon unless there's a third version which is impossible thanks to DLC.
Shield is Sword but with a few different Pokemon that got switched. not worth it bro.

I have DQXI right now, in the post-game stuff. I'm even considering playing DQVIII for a bit until AC comes out Friday

I've been goofing around in Mystery Dungeon and Nuclear Throne.

Recently swapped my launch model for a V2 for that battery life and cooling and man it makes a huge difference.

If you have any experience with JRPGs you are going to want to turn on hard monsters. The default difficulty is a cakewalk that you can just mindlessly mash A through

Yes, it has its own story and is one of the best of the series. One of my favorites games in this gen.

are you living in fucking Quebec or something?

Dead Cells has some pretty solid combat and it has a good sense of progression.

Oh so no difference between sword and shield, gotcha. Mario and ExMachina I'll look into in. Like I said above I finished BotW already but thanks

Oui

Pokemon Sword, Disgaea 4 and Taiko until Friday. Very very comfy, I love these games. Also just found out I don't need to go out on Thursday because NEETbux appointments are being done over the phone now.

What a time to be alive.

Playing Botw for the first time. Considering how much second hand exposure I've had to this game for years, I'm surprised it managed to get me as hooked as it has.

I envy you user. Wish I could experience it for the first time all over again.

>exclusives?

probably but I'd grab FFX/X-2, ignore the memes and have a great time with 2 pretty good games.

Main Pokemon games typically have two versions to promote trading, with each version having a few Pokemon that the other doesn't. Sword/Shield specifically also have a couple of exclusive gym leaders, but besides their design and the Pokemon used in those two gyms, the games are effectively identical. You would only ever buy both if you specifically are a super fan that wants to own both.

I wish I could play for the first time again. Enjoy!

Dead Cells

>What a time to be alive.
This is literally the same as every day for you, your life is already pointless since you're a NEET

rune factory 4

>tfw autistic an hate buying digital when a physical version exists
>Dead Cells physical is double the price
Just

Oh thanks for the info, so the only reason to check out the other pokemon would be for the pokemon self and the chick trainers lol
Only ever played Crisis Core, will look into it

Filling my Pokedex in Pokemon Shield, I have almost 300 Pokemon.

I own that on PC actually. It's fun but after a good run fails I find it hard to keep playing.

You can get the Pokemon by trading with others anyway, so not even that.

Ys VIII or DQ XI?

so which one has the cutest trainers

It can definitely get discouraging. Having more unlocks helps a ton though, and custom mode is fun to mess around in too.

It boils down to whether you want

Sword with Bea the muscle girl and Gordie the fat rock guy

or Shield with Alistair the ghost boy and Melonie the ice mommy.
