He's only in 1 arc and while he's obviously super strong he doesn't do much because he's against the shichibukai system and wants to humiliate the government/marines by allowing pirates to expose/take down Doflamingo

I know what happens with the war and Ace and all that, it was just so fucking long and from what I could tell the two parts after that are awful so I didn't bother catching up.

Kuma, Caesar, Enel, Magellan, Moria, Perona, Garp. Kuma/Pacifista is known to be in as an enemy.

I get that they wanted to focus on characters from the main arcs in the game but it's crazy to me that they cut Caesar who is a pretty important part in WCI but kept relatively unimportant characters like Tashigi and Ivankov.

That's pretty nice, the only good one in their group was Mihawk anyway.

Yeah, that's some weird choices on who to keep around. Seems like they prioritized "good" characters over "antagonists" which sucks cause playing the villains is one of my favorite parts. Least I've got timeskip Blackbeard.
Is strange they'd take Crocodile and not Enel. They're pretty similar, both being arc villains that haven't done a whole lot since.

The game focuses on 6 main arcs: Alabasta, Enies Lobby, Marineford, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island and Wano. The other arcs will probably be skipped over so characters who aren't in those 6 aren't likely to make it. Even though Kuma and Moria are in Marineford and Caesar is in WCI.

This looks better to me than the other videos. The characters actually look anime styled here rather than unshaded.

Man that's just weird to think about how the progression will go, those are huge parts of the narrative.
Imagine you start up this game and Luffy already has 6 crewmates, Brook just kinda shows up between arcs, you never see any Fishmen or Minks and the motivation to go to Dressrosa is unclear as you skipped Punk Hazard.
Fucking crazy, they honestly should have just bolted the new stuff onto the end of 3 and I'd be fine if the models just kind of looked like ass.

I like Sabo but similarly to Ace, Oda apparently doesn't know how to handle him. We've seen him more in spin-off movies than we have in the manga at this point.

Oda clearly thought up Sabo at a later date to spice up Luffy's backstory but I really don't mind as it adds a lot.
Little kid grows up happy and healthy on island is super boring compared to three "brothers" live in a garbage dump and fight for survival against an oppressive class structure.

I never really liked him, he's such a fucking Stu. He's suddenly in the story, it turns out that he was pivotal in the main character's story, he's liked by everyone, he has the same power as another popular character and can use it just as well, etc.

The wano arc in the game is going to be an OC one, like Dressora in PW3.

Oda seems to like to leave characters open for mystery. If we had been told Ace's whole life story then we couldn't have had the reveal in Wano that he had been there.
I do agree though that things could be done better and when the most information you get is from filler something has really gone wrong. I think the best execution has been Shanks though. Still barely any information on what he's doing or his motivations but just enough that he's a threat and for some reason he can just chill in Mariejois without all hell breaking lose immediately.
