Parries are the only thing that make the combat in the game interesting, so I figured out how they worked just for the sake of my own amusement.

And sam was just a psycho who happened to be on the wrong side. He flat out didn't care about what he was fighting for before meeting Raiden, he just wanted to kill. At least Raiden killed for what he thought was a good cause.

I thought Sam's ideal was ultimately the same as Armstrong's which is why he joined him.

The way I see it, Sam just wanted a reason to kill, which is why he fought for Armstrongs cause (Not that Sam didn't believe in Armstrongs ideals). However, when he met Raiden, who was fighting for what he believed in, Sam started to think about what he was doing and ultimately realized that he wasn't fighting for what he thought was right.

If we are talking switch ports all platinum would need to do is model some crossover costumes/swords and hand it off to another company.
