Super Ghouls n Ghosts, except I am playing it on a browser because I didn't want to download an emulator and now I am stuck on the final boss.

WHAT FILTER

??

it's the xm29 preset for retroarch. though gba didn't have scanlines, it does a great job of fixing the overly bright saturated colours of gba games

Final boss is actually easier on Professional difficulty than he is on Normal. Kinda funny considering how bullshit the rest of the game is on that mode.

>??
Well nigga, is this your setup, or did you just take the screenshot from someone else. If you would be so kind and tell me what filters/shaders you used to get to-

yes, thank you, i appreciate it.

>crt filter for handhelds
Use the lcd filter in presets for gba, colour corrects the gba too

I don't see why anyone would prefer it with the filter, except for maybe misplaced nostalgia

forgot pic

what even changes between difficulties?

Perhaps this is more faithful to the original experience, but it doesn't look better than the other filter.

The lasers and floating platforms are both sped up but they actually end up synching with each other so you can just jump on one as soon as it form then duck and you'll be completely safe from harm while you ride up to Sardius's head. Then just pelt him with the bracelet a few times, jump away and repeat the pattern. Other difficulties have you having to perform midair gymnastics to avoid the lasers while riding the platforms.

nah I don't like the gba specific filters. i just use the xm29 preset

One looks like a game, the other looks like minecraft art

Castlevania: Persona 5

What is misplaced nostalgia? I don't even know which game is that and it looks much better with the shader.

Lost Vikings.

It depends on the game, but sometimes I prefer a little softening of the edges through some filter. I was emulating Megaman Zero recently and while it looks ok, on a big screen vs the little GBA screen, it can kind of have a "big sharp blob of pixels" look that filters can help mitigate.

Gayest Castlemania

What emulator is best for playstation?

How close are you putting your face to the screen nigger, most filters are viewed from enough distance to make the game look accurate
Is that just the gif or are you playing in a weird aspect ratio?

beetleHW

less abilities maybe
either way having dash on R and L is really nice

What's the minimum CPU to pull off PS3 emulator?
Currently on R3 2200G.

Isn't worth it unless you don't mind constant stuttering as the emulator stops for 3 seconds to load more shaders every few steps you take in a game.

i just decided to replay the game on professional and realized that it's not even that different from normal (only just got done with the first pass) the only levels I had difficulty with (more so than on normal) were the first and the tower one with the falling dudes. Hopefully now I'll be able to finish this game

it's a 16-bit era puzzle platformer made by blizzard. their best game.

Julius is 55 in Aria of Sorrow. Let that sink in.

Soul Nomad on PCSX2.

> julius is 55
> canonically fucking jobs in the hardest boss fight in the game
> he's 30 years past his prime
how the fuck could you ever make a 1999 game and do justice to julius

Oh shit I'm sorry

you know thats what A-sync is for, a lot of games still don't work right though

>want to emulate gba games
>every 5-10 minutes the audio starts to crackle at random
really sucks because I would like to emulate more games but the distortion really takes me out of it

Chaos hero lost his glasses

evermore is great

Bahh, alrighty then.

Playing some Castlevania 64. I love this game despite its flaws.

Attached: c64.png (639x480, 424.09K)

I feel bad for you, going out of your way to download the oldest possible version of an emulator and making a webm just for a shitpost and not getting a single (you) out of the bargain in over an hour. Well here you go, it might be out of pity but I hope it brings you some solace.

LoD is actually pretty decent

The texture filtering they used on the N64 was really ghastly.
