My first bn game was blue moon. Played 5 and 6 and loved them. Went back and played the first 3 and decide I hate the franchise.

Currently playing BN5:TP. Its enjoyable, not horrible as some people say

1-2 play like some hot garbage, and I thought they both had awful difficulty curves, puzzles started to grate on my patience quickly. They did that and 5 and 6 as well but those felt faster, but I eventually lost my patience with 1-3. I finished them. Theres a lot in 3 I like but the story in those games can fuck off. I havent played them in years though. I'm sure I'd like them better now that I'm more mature and patient but I'm not willing to go back.

yeah I mostly agree. The general online consensus is that 3 BN is the best because of the story. So much filler with slow, boring cutscenes. Embarrassing to think grown adults enjoy that garbage. Everything they hate about 4, 5 and 6 are the probably the exact reasons why you and I like them.

The only other games with voice acting are Network Transmission and 5 Double Team. Network Transmission doesn't have dubbed audio, so you'll only have to worry about 5.

I like 4, 5, and 6 for 2 reasons.
1. It was my reentry into the megaman franchise when I was a teen. I remembered playing mmx and 7 when I was like 4, but I had very few memories of it.
2. I was in a group home and they were long games so it was a great way to escape
I'll be the first to admit. I hated the animu stuff but I did like the in battle art and the combat system. I was never there for the story in the first place, but after a few goes at 4 and 6 I liked it. I went back and played 1, 2, and 3 that I worked my ass off to get from a pawn shop. The first one was slow, in dialogue and combat, the game looked ugly, and the story was novel because it was the first BN. 2 did nothing for me and 3 I almost liked but I couldn't take the awful puzzles anymore the long cutscene, and the lack of fun chips early in the game. And then star force came out and people like

Buy it, play half way through it. Never followed up on a megaman game again because I was crushed but yeah that's my bn memories lol

For me it's something like 3=2>6>5>4>1. I had fond memories of 1 but when I tried to replay it I found that it's vastly inferior to the later titles.

I've had friends tell me I'm missing out because I played 4, 5, and 6 first, expected too much and was burnt out by the time i completed the first one. As i said I'm sure I'd appreciate them more now but i havent followed up on a megaman game since and have no intention to. Although I do like BN threads and related conversations

BN3 was such a high point in the series. Why did they drop the ball so damn hard while making 4?

I've never played BN but I like to look at these threads for a certain reason :3

3 was designed to be an ending to the series. Next thing you know, some exec wants your team to crap out another one using feedback data from the last game. Oh, would you look at that, the people LOVED N-1.
So they slapped some tournaments together and spat it out.

I love Shangai too, but we have a responsibility to only bring up that game if the first post is relevant to gameplay.

The area design is complete fucking cancer, there is 2 actual dungeons and the rest is on the boring main internet or subcomps which are all straight lines that look exactly the same, worse than even 1

The character sometimes goes off the rails to assert dominance online, since she's a gang leader. She's usually still hot-headed but much more reserved when not pushing her lackeys around
The whole thing is just to play her off as the opposite of Megaman's goodie-two-shoes super virtuous characterization, and the joke is that her operator is still the same type of person Lan is, so their personalities clash.
