Have Yas Forums ever been so BLOWN THE FUCK OUT before?
>ASHLEY WILL GET IN >BANDANNA DEE WILL GET IN >REX WILL GET IN >MINECRAFT STEVE WILL GET IN
>RIDLEY IS IRRELEVANT >KING K. ROOL IS IRRELEVANT >GENO IS IRRELEVANT >BANJO KAZOOIE IS IRRELEVANT
For fucking YEARS you guys said NEVER EVER, now look what happened.
For those who said any of these four character would never get into Smash Bros, step up and explain yourselves. I would LOVE to know your thought process behind dismissing such loved vidya characters.
Did anyone on Yas Forums actually believe this? I played the original warioware as a kid and I had no idea who she was until recently.
Anthony Hill
>trying to hide the Ashley humiliation with >l"ol did that even happen?" Yes it did and they were just as obnoxious as 2ho fans.
Owen Cooper
Rex and Pyra are fighter #6
Thomas Rogers
One of these is not like the others
Hudson Cox
Yeahhhh... Ridley's the only one whos not a 3d render! You're right!
Ryder Watson
Dont confuse concern for shitposting. Some user probably believes that all the Ashley fans are shitposters like Steve. Maybe one in ten steve posters legit want Minecraft in Smash but the ones with ugly model posters are just looking for (you)s. I believe three outa five Ashley fans are legit and 2 outa five just want better 3d models for sfm pork with some cross between the two poster typea
We don't know how base game spirits will affect the DLC will be years off from the initial project plan
Bentley Cooper
This, the arguments against him were >Too big And >He’s the captain America of smash speculation
Xavier Hall
>Ridley is irrelevant
No-one ever said this. It was 'Ridley is too big!'
Then the moment he was confirmed it was 'He was ALWAYS going to get in' because the same fags who shouted that he was too big can't handle being wrong.
Eli Bell
a couple of genuine supporters, ransacked by shitposters desperate for another retarded fanbase war they're likely the same people that rallied behind steve, and are now trying to prop geno up. i don't think i've even seen a genuine support post for geno, it looks like all falseflag niggerfags. everyones so desperate to set up another EPIK BTFO moment so they rally behind shit they don't even care about and become even more obnoxious than a genuine supporter ever could
So, when did the smash fandom devolve into “BTFO, BTFO, BTFO”? It’s not really that fun anymore, I feel like there used to be a time when it was fun.
Jaxson Hall
It's been like that since at least Ultimate was revealed. "Everyone is here" broke rosterfags hoping for cuts.
Ryan Lopez
Ashleyfagging was the first instance of Stevefagging for Smash Ultimate. That is to say a bunch of shitposters hijack a character people like and attempt to start a war between characters.
Nicholas Johnson
There are too many people now that want characters not because they are actually fans of the character but because it will "block" another character they don't like from getting in. People crying about RPG heroes have gotten out of hand.
As much as I appreciate the characters the ballot gave us, you can trace most of this back to the ballot.
Jason Jackson
It really took off during Smash 4: >Greninja instead of Mewtwo >Rosalina instead of Daisy >Robin and Lucina instead of Chrom >Waluigi still an assist >Ridley teased just to be a boss again >Dark Pit >Duck Hunt >K. Rool mii >literally everything surrounding the ballot >Corrin
Jaxson Thomas
Even if the ballot unintentionally destroyed Smash discussions, I'm still grateful that it existed. I don't know how much of it was truly taken into consideration but the option to argue your case on why your most wanted would fit was a cool thing to do for the fanbase. Good thing I voted back we voted back when we did because I'm sure all of the shitpost entries have convinced Sakurai and the team to never do something like this ever again.
Hudson Edwards
>your dream is dead remember Banjo?
they had renamed base spirits, so he still could be happening
Lucas Nelson
>implying that popularity counts >when banjo got in before bomberman
Ashley fans have been around since Brawl, actually. Smash Four was when you saw some of them get vocal.
Xavier Thomas
>Bomberman >popular I love Bomberman and he's enough of a gaming icon to make it in (hence his recognition as an assist) but Banjo was definitely more popular as a request among fans.
Jose Bailey
so, with sm4sh it all became a stupid toddler's fight with ultimate's hype we got a bunch of retardeds making bad promotion to steve, remember? Those Discord guys even grabbed Reimu, Chun-Li and being ABSOLUTE ridiculous, to pick Springtrap to make stupid edit images and a battle with....Freddy fazbear....god, sure smashies are lots of morons behind keyboard monitors, battling each other by a keyboard and lame thing like "uh....based" "duh...cringe bro" "HE'S IN"
People have been shitting on the highly requested but seemingly unlikely roster picks before the ballot. Just go into the archive and look at all the shit people leveled at Ridleyfags before Sm4sh's reveal and after he was deconfirmed as a stage boss. Antifags have been stomping on "never-ever" picks for years but it's gotten way more hostile in recent years because all these never-ever picks keep getting in anyways and making them look stupid in hindsight. It's actually kind of hilarious, going into the archives now and seeing how much the usage of "never-ever" as an insult has gone down since Ridley/Rool/Banjo got in, antifags are scared shitless of getting screen-shotted in yet another "I was wrong" comp. Now they mostly just call your taste shit instead.
You're right but it absolutely got much worse during and after the ballot.
Christian Jackson
ok help me out so how did you reach the conclusion geno was in smash
Adrian James
>puppetfuckers still coattailing the actual Never Ever crew Enjoy your Premium Mii Costume.
Hunter Foster
Hilda and Dimitri from Zelda were changed so they wouldn't be confused with the ones from Three Houses. There's also the Cuphead spirit battles changing depending on if you own DLC. This doesn't mean Geno's in though. It could just as easily point to someone like Rex or even Waluigi. Probably nothing at all.
Putting Geno and Banjo on the same level as Ridley and K Rool is pretty dishonest.
Joseph Lee
Cope thnx.
Joseph Davis
but they are literally on a lower level in the picture
Julian Foster
Too big was always the dumbest shit because Smash is never to scale. I'm not sure what made Sakurai change his mind but I'm grateful he did. Gave me my most wanted after quite a long time and I love his play style. From all the years I've dicked around in Smash I never really went off stage to hit people coming back. I just stuck near the ledge. Saw people recommend going off stage after people and started having even more fun with him back when Ult first came out.
I kinda suck at consistently attacking people off stage now. All it takes is a persons jump or air dodge and that's it, no off stage gimps for me.
I knew Yas Forums would collectively be happy with Ridley if he got in, or at least excited that such a long requested character made it. A sour bunch but they still have some heart.
Some time after Brawl. I remember during Brawl Snake, Sonic, and the other roster additions seemed to be welcome across the board. Wii U Smash rolled around and something changed. Then stage hazard Ridley was shown without a shadow of a doubt and you know how that went.
Ayden Green
But he was too big. Which is why they made him way smaller than he is in Smash. Like they also did with Bayonetta.
Christian Morales
People kept saying voting for Ridley in the ballot was stupid because he was a stage boss. Glad I didn't listen. The ballot was who I wanted and I was damn well going to take the tiny little chance that someone who gave a damn that made the game would read it. I'm sure I over explained why he should and could get in. Maybe it helped make a difference.
You know what I hate? When people say they shouldn't take fan requests into consideration for the roster. I think that's one of the first things that should be looked over and with great care. Sure Sakurai and his team make the game so they should get to choose some characters too. The fans are the ones playing and enjoying the games and have just as much right to demand characters.
Obviously not Shrek/Goku picks because these are either ones that aren't possible or just did not originate from a videogame. Characters that Nintendo owns and are highly requested for many years? I really see no reason they should be excluded.
Hunter Ward
As much as I want rex to be in all those except maybe bandanna dee seem unlikely, and steve seems more like a mii sword fighter costume than a fighter.
Easton Diaz
Reminder that people thought Ridley, K. Rool and Banjo were impossible once upon a time and they’re in. Geno has been requested for Smash as long as they’ve been and deserve to join them.
If anyone claims they’re a fan of any of those three and say he shouldn’t be in, they aren’t real fans. Real “never ever” fans would want a fellow impossible pick to get in. Learn the difference, some will claim to be Banjo fans on this comment and say he’s trash when he’s not.
Also spirits do not deconfirm as Mewtwo and Lucas were trophied in the last game yet were playable, and the first Fighter’s Pass was planned alongside the base game. So DLC afterwards won’t follow the same restrictions.
Geno will join Smash Ultimate very soon, and he’ll be one of the best additions to the game by far.
Nothing will ever compare to watching Anti-fags build themselves up for months and months before it comes crashing down before them. Youd think they would wise up after Ridley, K.Rool, and Banjo got in, but no. They just sit there and seethe while everyone else celebrates their failure.
499547330 >Real “never ever” fans would want a fellow impossible pick to get in This is why you should go back to your spirit cell, forget your costume
I spammed this image nonstop since 2013, but I wanted him since 2007. The wait was worth it and at the time, it seemed like a lot of people came out the woodwork with a newfound hope that their never-ever would get in.
Yes dear zoomer, ashley has always been the most popular wario choice since the brawl days, not counting waluigi since he is not a wario character. The next in line is probably captain syrup which honestly, you never see people talking about her.
Wario Ware used to be huge between nintendo fans.
Sebastian Bailey
>I'm not sure what made Sakurai change his mind but I'm grateful he did. probably fan demand, is why everyone is here was a thing to begin with.
Adam Allen
I know technically Inkling was the first Smash Ult reveal but it was like a drive by reveal. It wasn't even a trailer. Ridley set the stage for the most of the newcomers the base game had. Oh that one fucking character everyone either wanted or thought impossible? Yeah, fucking bam bitches. After that we just kept getting bomb after bomb. Simon, Richter, Dark Samus, K. Rool. Fewer newcomers than any Smash game but damn if there weren't a bunch of top tier picks.
Jonathan Miller
Only pedophiles wanted her. The Golden Rule of Smash is if someone wants a girl in, they just want more porn of them and don't want to commission it
Angel Cruz
this is projection btw
Jonathan Allen
Mona, 9-Volt and Jimmy are all objectively better WarioWare choices then Trashley.
Elijah Smith
Ashleyfags are still the most BTFO'd of the bunch
Joseph Roberts
Cope pedo
Samuel Ross
Yeah but fan demand had been ongoing for 15 years. Either he had no idea how important Ridley making it meant to people or the ballot had a shit ton of Ridley votes.
Maybe it's just because the last console Ridley design we had was Other M but Smash Ridley is probably the best design he's ever had. I like Meta Ridley just a bit more because I think his head shape looks better but it's just so damn good. He really went out of his way to make Ridley look like him even with all the tweaking he took to get on the roster.
