Every game posted here has flaws. RE4's island sucks aside from the regenerators. RE2 has insufferable loading screens for every time you want to enter a room. SH2's combat is absolute dog shit (BUT IT'S AN OLD SCHOOL HORROR GAME THAT'S THE POINT, so temper your expectations before you play SH2 xD), RDR2 is not worthy of being called a 10/10 unless you give it a looooooooooooootttt of leeway with tempered expectations.

I would say there's some games out there that are flawless, but they are all invariably very simple games, usually arcade titles, that were polished to perfection. That said, the distinction cuts out so many games that I consider 10/10s to simply be the best overall experiences in the medium rather than truly flawless, with flawless games simply falling under the umbrella.

I recently beat RE4 for the first time
Honestly, I LIKED it, but i fail to see why it's so critically acclaimed. REmake, and even RE2make are better than it
It's not scary at all aside from the few encounters with the regenerators and the verdugo, the "puzzles" are barely puzzles at all and constantly protecting ashley is quite annoying.
I appreciate it as a silly, over the top cheesy action game but that's about it. Hell, at one point you're fighting enemies with miniguns and yet so many people still claim this is the best RE game?
i dunno, maybe this is just a case of a game being a "product of its time" and it was revolutionary when it came out, but now it just seems sort of generic and basic
