no seriously, they all play the same. horizon zero dawn, shadow of mordor, days gone feel so fucking samey. if it has third person aiming, you can slow down time because aiming on a controller or aiming in general is too hard for a mass audience. crafting, skill trees, generic rpg elements, fast travel, open world, basic melee combat system of dodges, parries and maybe a light/heavy attack which have no unique mechanics are are extremely easy to time as well as showing indicators/button prompts on screen. eagle vision/witcher senses (this is one of the easiest examples, fucking every game has this now). point is that they rarely ever try to do something new and innovative, and if they do like shadow of mordor's whole thing with the orc army, it's done poorly (no reason to kill anything above your level because killing something level 40 when I was level 20 gave me a level ~21 item that wasn't even better than my current item, and that was after sending him like 18 death threats to try and boost the loot as much as I could. you also can't recruit orcs above your level, even 1 above your level. and the game is already so easy even on nemesis or whatever.
