You can't run games off of your external hard drive. You need an internal drive to do that. Try it, install a game to your external hard drive on your PC right now and play it over a USB 3 port.

Jungleflasher. Also you don't need to worry about the disc drive when you can install your games to the HDD, or just mod and play everything from an external source.
