Disc 1 is over 50% of the game. The fact that it's on three discs is a bit misleading as it ALMOST fits on to two discs and a lot of the data on each disc is duplicate.

It really isn't. Outside of Midgar and the Northern Crater practically everything is single dungeon or tiny little 2-3 screen towns. The only reason it came on 3 discs was because of the massive size of the FMVs. They could easily have put the entire game on a single disc if they didn't have those FMVs, as evident by disc 3 having literally everything in the game except the disc 1/2 FMVs.

Fear Effect 2 was pretty funny too since it's a 4 disc game and you can't visit old areas but you still have to make eight or nine disc swaps total during a playthrough.

Motherfucking Star Ocean FOUR on the XBOX 360 and Playstation THREE made you swap discs back and forth to go to different planets. It was pretty nuts.
