Since Pterosaurs are covered in strange fur-like structures, some scientists argue that these are actually feathers and the ancestral bracket to both Pterosaurs and Dinosaurs, as well as crocodiles (Archosaurs) actually had feathers since the very beginning.
Alternatively pterosaurs just developed these structures independently and its sheer coincidence.
While that might sound biased, coincidences like that happen in nature so often that it wouldn't be too out of the ordinary. Spiders for example developed fur independently as well
