There was a comic that took place between the two games where Alex traveled the world and people kept betraying or being shitty in general.

Supposedly the straw that breaks the camel's back is a man and his daughter that he's staying with, the man turns out to be an ex-murderer or ex-mafioso or something and Alex kills him (despite no plans at all to do anything but be hospitable to Alex) and the daughter tries killing Alex for his money for no reason.

That comic made his turn even worse.
The virus gave them enough of a healing factor to implant armor plates and minor cybernetics, so, in a way, they are power armored

That comic was One More Day levels of bad

For those who don't know:
OMD was a Spider-man comic wherein he sells his marriage and unborn children to Satan(but not really satan) to save Aunt May from a bullet wound that no magic, healing mutant, comic technology, or actual surgery would fix.
Because editorial wanted Spider-man's marriage over with, but divorce is wrong.

No its just Civil War was very dumb with very poor story for a very forced "war" that kept doubling down on the retardation instead of fixing the plot.
Injustice at least had the decency of thinking outside the box even if it has very glaring flaws, there's nothing of similar worth from Civil War.

help doods, really been wanting to replay this on pc. i tried the resolution fix and limited my cpu cores but the game still crashed as soon as i load a new game

Mutants is just cheating at this point, the writers wanted them to apart from the Avengers so they could be a series on their own while still being in the same universe as them and the best reason they come up for the Avengers not showing up is that the Avengers are ignoring them, like come on man.

prototype was a shitty mediocre and repetitive game with only 3 bosses and 0 enemy diversity
But was still fun and the series had so much potential its a shame that prototype is dead now

It's not the most diversity, but it's a fair amount

Tanks and choppers are boring you can one shot them once you upgrade the blade
Soldiers and zombies die in one hit so they more like obstacles
Missile launchers are only a problem if your are using and helicopter
Super soldiers and hunters are the only actual enemies in the game but you can still kill them in one or two hits with the upgraded blade
Prototype two had more enemy diversity but was still a bit lackluster

I mean, he did it in the first game too more or less. He was responsible for the outbreak and for Elizabeth Greene's escape.

Granted, it was a big mess, but it was not a malicious mess.

The enemy variety being low would've been fine if the game let you play with your food more. Mercer lacking any form of i-frames on anything while Super Soldiers & Hunters mysteriously didn't flinch 60% of the time that you hit them unless you literally hit them with the strongest shit in the game that 2-shots them sucks a bit of the fun out of it; it becomes more fun to just Hammer Throw, drop elbows, and run around in Armor than to participate in combat, outside of silly stuff like slapping a chopper out of the sky with a stretchy arm/afterburner kick combo. The devs gave Muscle Mass some decent combo tools and then nothing to use them on. I'm not saying to go full DMC, but a couple steps in that direction would've gone a long way.

Also every boss fight sucked except the first which was actually pretty fun and the final boss which was still frustrating until you figured out the optimal way to damage him.

The Mercer you play is not the Mercer that spread the virus.

Basically a case where a bit of refinement in the sequel would have done wonders, and then none of that happened.

It is a neat idea. Prototype's story wasn't incredible or anything, but I really liked the web of intrigue and the way that was presented.

mine still look like new, from super metroid to metal gear, all in good shape.

say what you want about Prototype 2 but the banter between the scientists and the soldiers is great
