gimme your top 3 gba games

Advance Wars
Sonic Advance
Grand Theft Auto advanced

>Pogeyman and a bunch of NES/SNES ports

Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure
Pokemon Emerald
Metroid Zero Mission

Honorable mentions go to Medabots, metal slug and Minish Cap

Golden Sun 2
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
Pokemon Emerald

GBA, like PSP, has really fond memories and when I try to look for more "classics", I learn that I peaked too early and played the only good games for it and the library mostly sucked and I was wearing nostalgia goggles the entire time

DS was/is the one handheld that has an abundance of games

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow
Mario & Luigi SSS
Megaman Zero 3

GBA has at least 40 great games

That can be said for any console

pokemon emerald
pokemon ruby
pokemon sapphire

Every time I look through my GBA games, I'm always pretty impressed by how many make me say, "Wow, that was great"

Mario and Luigi
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Advance Wars
Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission
Zelda: Minish Cap
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Astro Boy Omega Factor
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow/Circle of the Moon
Pokemon Pinball
Fire Emblem
Golden Sun/Lost Age
Wario Ware/Twisted
Game & Watch galleries

Unlike most Nintendo consoles, I think it lacks those really big "revolutionary" titles that get touted as the greatest games of all time, but the number of A+ games is still extraordinary. I also like the balance it has between simple, pick-up-and-play games that are perfect for the portable format, as well as having plenty of deeper games that rivaled what you could expect on a home console. Good shit, all around.

>nobody in this thread has mentioned Battle Network
For shame, I liked 2, 3, 5, and 6.

It's basically just a handheld SNES, so no.

Good, but DS is definitely better.

>It's basically just a handheld SNES, so no.
What does this have to do with its library? The two statements are completely unrelated.

Try the Dragon Ball games sometime, specifically Legacy of Goku 2 and 3 and Advanced Adventure

but ds plays all gba games as well as all ds games

But not GBC games

You can emulate them.

Leaf green
Advance wars
Minish cap

Ninja Cop aka Ninja Five-O
Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting

>pokeshit

Wario Land 4
Pokémon Green Leaf
The Game & Watch games were my shit

I always liked how the GBA and GC shared the same aesthetic

Not the n64, or the cube, or the switch if you exclude ports from other systems.

...noticing a pattern?

Cool opinion, bro. Also post your list

Wario Land 4
Sonic Battle
Revenge of the Sith

That's fucking tough, but I wanna say
Aria of Sorrow
Advance Wars 2
Superstar Saga

Warioland 4, Pokemon Emerald, Mother 3 and Metroid Fusion all come close though

in that case the 3ds plays 3ds and ds natively and can emulate gb, gbc, gba, nes, snes, master system, genesis, sega cd and a bunch of other stuff

ps1, ps2, saturn, genesis, snes, nes are all better. GBA is ok.

>Wario Land 4 isn't noteworthy

Kek.

Name 40 great games from every other console then

that would be PS2, f@m

Not for Gamecube.

yeah which is why it's fucking stupid to include backward compatibility in a console's library like that

Pears and apples.

It isn't.

And i have every single one

Metroid Fusion
River City Ransom EX
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Final Fantasy 6
Dbz super sonic warriors
Pokemon Ruby/Emerald
Pokemon FireRed
Metroid Zero Mission
Smb3 advanced
Street fighter 2 turbo revival ex...advanced and knuckles

Name 40 great games on the Switch, Gamecube, N64, PS3 or any Xbox

It's got some great games but 75% of them are ports.

>Play GBA at school with friends
>Get home and hop on the PS2
I miss those days.

>parents didnnt /want to buy 10yo me a GBA SP or gamecube back in the day. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. At least I've had some ps1 and PC ludum, but damn I feel like I missed out on prime nintendo.

Casltevania Aria of Sorrow
Mario Golf
Metroid Fusion

Shame about the poor audio quality.

I wished it had its own original 2d Mario, instead of pretty decent all things considered ports

Zelda - A link to the Past
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls
Pokemon LeafGreen/FireRed

Attached: IMG_9686.jpg (2048x1536, 996.15K)

It is.

Mega Man Zero 2
Metroid Zero Mission
Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals
Metroid Fusion

Blame shitty developers.

>kept his GBA boxes
>GBA Micro

Most based image I've ever seen on this website

Buu's Fury
Pokemon Emerald
Metroid Fusion

Thank you

No. No I won't. GBA sounds like shit on a hardware level.

youtube.com/watch?v=XS2LSfawQDE
youtube.com/watch?v=wkH2zETKqws

Metroid Zero Mission
Megaman Battle Network 3
Megaman Zero 3

Honorable mentions go to Fusion, BN2, and BN6 Falzar

Zoids Legacy
Metroid Fusion
Pokemon Emerald

Peak performance.

Attached: gbaplayer.jpg (856x915, 311.89K)

Metroid Zero Mission
Sword of Mana (fight me it's good)
Aria of Sorrow

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

I still have my launch copy of CotM that I got back in 2001.

GBA sound is completely programmable, you can make whatever audio you want. Bitching about lazy ports is like bitching about GEMS games on Genesis.

>Dragon Ball Advance Adventure
>One Piece
>Astro Boy: Omega Factor
>Tiny Toon: Scary Dreams
>Justice League: The Flash
>Sengoku Kakumei Gaiden
>TMNT
>Advance Guardian Heroes
The GBA was blessed with kino beat 'em ups.
