You forgot that there is also economies of scale. Basically, bigger discount for buying in bulk. There is also a discounts from suppliers as well.

Microsoft can also shift company resources (in this case, financial resources) from different departments/sectors/whatever of their company to another. Although, this backfires, cause employees working in those different areas hates it. Working with less resources is always a pain in the ass.

Not to mention "under the table" deals.

Oh and the big one: PC parts are sold to make a profit on each part. Example: Intel will want to make sure that every CPU they sell makes a profit and not a loss, even if that CPU is sold at a discount. In general, PC parts don't have the luxury of selling at a loss and making up for that loss with profitability in other parts of the company.

Consoles on the other hand, depending on the company, can do that. And Microsoft did that for a very long time with the Xbox 360. Sell at a loss, charge huge developer fees towards the devs and Xbox live subscriptions.

The 5700XT's FP performance is around 8, and the X's GPU is 12 (having an updated architecture). The 5700XT trades blows with the RTX 2060 Super, so by my rooough estimates, the Series X GPU could be up to RTX 2080-equivalent in terms of performance.
I don't think this is going to be the case though. The 5700XT consumes more than 200W when gaming. You're telling me they're going to cram in 12 more cores, overclock it by 12% and it's not going to turn into a housefire? Even AMD's bullshit marketing is claiming a 1/3 improvement in performance/Watt for RDNA 2. Even in this fantasy land, the Series X GPU alone has an average power consumption of ~200W when gaming.
For comparison, the PS4 averages around 140W when gaming. The whole console.

AMD could have made a huge breakthrough in performance and efficiency with RDNA 2. I know AdoredTV was talking about rumors about AMD and RDNA 2 and was posting out big numbers.

They can also slightly undervolt the GPU and CPU as well to save on power. And I think there might be an external power brick for the console. I don't see how they can put in an internal power supply in there.
