i like the sound of that, obscure demo disk and early build copies are always constantly being found online, i think even not to long ago someone found a build of klonoa and there was also someone who leaked assets from the pokemon space world demo to helix chamber last year. so we are going to play off the it was lost but now it's found that's why you never heard of this game before idea.

the dragon girl could be just a kid, but it think a more open world idea might be better with some rpg elements, 3d platformers where the big thing during the era of n64 and ps1 it wouldn't make to much sense for a 2d metroidvania or top down game to be made when everyone was trying to capitalise on the 3d aspect of games.

it doesn't need to complex just something to get the ball rolling. e,g the princess is capture, moving into a new town,ect just a simple story reason for everything else in the game to be based around.

my suggestion is an open world game or some kind of 3d platformer, so something that takes inspiration from breath of the wild, megaman legends, and animal crossing. maybe with a behind the character camera.
yeah a unique design would help i definitly feel that the main character could be a little girl as it would give the game wider appeal because of being moe and stuff.
that's not a bad idea, i don't mind the genre of a sort of lowpoly metroid prime as our game will also have a female protagonist though of a younger age.
