Name a single JRPG with a good story.
For a genre so story focused, almost every JRPG story is generic, barebones and half assed. You get better plots out of childrens cartoons.

There are none. Japs have lower standards and western audiences consume it to try and make nice with their country after America demolished it. Naturally, Japan doesn't care about any of us, but that doesn't stop us baka gaijins from trying, right?
why is she flaunting her armpits?
Most of them. There are some JRPGs with bad plots, but not a lot of them.
Like?
the last remnant. It's simple, but it's polished and told expertly well, and characters that appear all have their roles. It evolves from a simple "mom and dad are gone let's find them" plot into one about political intrigue (and in a way that doesn't cop out with GOD LMAO or the opposing faction being straight up evil and killing babies).
Are you for real you ignorant weeb retard?
Terranigma
wow I am sure bursting at the seams to reply to a bait thread in which faggot OP will just say "haha no" to any answer no matter how reasoned
I really liked FF7's plot
The original or the Compilation/Remake faggotry?
Original
>Somebody somewhere thought that stupid fucking jacket with the hearts on the tits was anything other than vomit-inducing horrible fashion sense
Well, the last three games I've finished are DQ XI, 13 Sentinels and Death end re;Quest 2. 13 Sentinels has an amazing story, DQ and DerQ's are also pretty good, although DQ's Act 3 is a bit rushed and DerQ has some minor writing problems. But you're goint to say these don't count anyway.
>not wearing your heart on your sleeve
SMT games have good plots with the different alignments and moral choices. SMT 4 + Apocalypse, Devil Survivor 1 and 2, Strange journey, Soul Hackers...
The characters could defiantly stand for a bit of a redesign but all in all they were great
Ah yes the classic response. Post something that answers your question and all you can do is deny that its correct and call the person stupid with no further evidence.
This is why you never respond to retards who ask for examples on Yas Forums
Big breasted slut
absolutely based
Post a few examples of games with a good story first.
Lost Odyssey.
/thread
I'm still pretty upset of all the games that have gotten pc ports, that hasn't. Why phantom dust? Why fucking ryse? Why god damned SUNSET OVERDRIVE but not lost odyssey? It and infinite undiscovery were basically the only good rpgs on the 360, I guess blue dragon.
thats because you played too many of them to a point you see the story process of the japanese.
I've played less than 10
I'll give you a jrpg with a GREAT story.
Xenoblade 2
You're welcome
I haven't played it, but this game really looks like it is a massive weeaboo thing
Tactics ogre.
You just don't like fun.
You need to broaden your horizons.
It's a good plot with anime tiddies as condiment.
It would only be a problem if you have some dislike towards the aesthetic, It's a coming of age tale of a young man's optimistic naivete crashing against harsh outlooks and realities of those who have tried and failed to walk ideal paths before him. Adventure, romance, camaraderie, revenge - it's an incredibly entertaining romp.
hnnnnggg she's even more perfect in game
Martina wins again!

Disgaea 1.
You're not missing anything, it's not really good. Gameplay is a slog and the story isn't anything to write home about.
Stop trying to force yourself to like a genre you don't OP.
Nu No Kuni is pretty great
than the second game comes out and ruins it.
the first xenoblade had a alright story.
It's the literal definition of mediocre, generic fanservice.
>Name a single JRPG with a good story.
Do you mean plot or narrative, because no "story" in anything is good.
TWEWY was pretty good.
I harbor unreasonable hate for his hair style and outfit
You know what he means, stop being a pseud
>For a genre so story focused
You haven't played many jrpgs outside of Persona have you.
none, all are cringe
Literally what is the point of a JRPG if not story and adventure?
It certainly isn't gameplay.
It's gameplay user. Always has been.
Also the adventure and exploration is a part of that gameplay, not the story.
>It's gameplay user. Always has been.
JRPG gameplay is unequivocal trash
Sure, in Persona.
in pkemon is gameplay
Jeanne d' Arc
Let's first establish that good story is in fact possible in games in general, so name a single game with a good story please. Until you do, arguing about the weaker statement in the OP is pointless.
>It certainly isn't gameplay
Have you only played VNs before or something? There's a reason why JRPGs tend to prioritise gameplay and exploration over story.
skies of arcadia.
Every JRPG, at least compared to western RPGs. Western RPGs are just "respect wahmen" or "bow down to trannies" these days.
It's basically a shonen anime. If you're a grown man you shouldn't be this enthusiastic about the story of this game.
