How long do you spend creating characters in RPGs?
How long do you spend creating characters in RPGs?
I can literally spend two hours color correcting a television. Don't fucking start with character creators.
like 5 minutes, i am too stupid to think out what works best so i just kind of put it where it sounds cooler.
Why does this monke make me so uncomfortable?
I click reroll until everyone has all 18's so about 120 hours
nose is way bigger than my penis.
>two hours color correcting a television
What type of autism is this?
Toooo too long.... then I get board of the game quickly. Some games I have spent longer on character creator than the actual game
Hours, I have to make my characters look like the in-game portraits as much as possible.
and people think we didnt evolve from monkeys
the nvidia shitbox kind
Two episodes of some show later? Naw but, no idea why the fuck I did that. The badges started to look really shiny.
Depends on the options. I spent an hour on dragon's dogma, for example.
I create one character, play few hours to check if I complete difficulties game throw at me then I make another adjusted character. I am not much into min-max damage or anything. I just want have lot of options available.
creating characters is the only part of D&D I like, as soon as the combat starts I clock out
It's a cunt monkey, don't fuck with em.
>board of the game
Pleasant in-joke if it was genuine but fuck you. I know you're dumb.
in case of Skyrim, I make sure that every slider is touched
I love a good character creator. I want something like Project Zomboids thing where you pick positive and negative traits but with a ton more options, and put it in a game like Kenshi. Let me play the Sims in a game with combat mechanics.
8 minutes tops
Depends on the game. But generally speaking? Too long.
Depends on how many options there are and if the females look good.
I think i spent an hour customizing my character in Nioh 2
komeiji patrolling for azusaslut.jpeg.webm
as long as it takes
Is the "nvidia having bad colors" meme true?
the way his nose bounces around like a dick, his beady little eyes looking around like some fuckin old man while he eats string beans, and his huge ass monkey hands.
monkeys and apes are real life monsters.
Much longer than I want to, usually. Creating the character is one part, then thinking of the name is another really fucking hard thing for me to do.
I don't know why, but I'm really indecisive.
30 seconds allocating stats
45 seconds customizing looks
20 minutes thinking of a fucking name
name is the hardest thing ever
>game allows custom portraits
It's time to browse google images for 2 hours again
I just name the character after myself
>STILL after all these YEARS in the FUCKING year 2020
>STILL hasn't accumulated a stockpile of unique names from past games
only got yourself to blame
its common pole not monkey retard
>Not drawing your own ms paint tier renditions
what is this
it's been so long ago since I heard that joke...
Customizing my character comes easy for me.
>Can you make a skeleton dude?
If yes make a skeleton dude
>If not, can you make a buff old dude?
If yes make buff old dude (doesn't exactly have to be buff but at least somewhat muscular)
>If no to either, then just make a cooler version of me.
Brother.
Wish more games let you play as a skeleton, I would actually play WoW if the undead had a variant that was just a skeleton.
>is the character going to be using ranged weapons?
Mowhawk or topknot with the biggest beard there is and face paint, no shirt if you can get away with it.
I spend a long time with stats, but usually just hit random if possible when it comes to the look of the character then change it a bit to suit my RP ideas
He looks too humanlike
Not really.
It's sort of like having similar tools to people that rig up color settings on HDTVs for old people. Except you're going to fuck with it until you ruin your TV's black levels, or not.
Nvidia is the standard and utterly struck out voodoo.
His nose is bigger than your penis
Ya dicklet
>click random on character creation 3 times
>type name generator in google and randomize 3 times
>this is my character and this is the name i will play with
if you can randomize class, stats and gear I go for that too
respect
Based Wizardry chad.
Because you can tell how alike we are so it's uncanny.
Uncanny
uncunny
He took a pic of your internet history. He knows
>stats, classes, etc
3-5 minutes
>appearance
10 seconds
>making self insert in an rpg
5 minutes
>making girls in AA-esque games
3 hours each minimum
>TFW give the same name to all characters
>Go with tall muscular short hair redhair females
Easy 1:15 minutes character creation, i'm a simple man
because you are a monkey
Depends how much costumization there is and how many of them you have to create. Sometimes between 30 minutes to 1 hour.
>Use same name, it's something fairly average yet out there.
>If not use something that sounds about right
>Things like Salazar Grimstone for necromancers or other edgy characters, or Anders Fairbright for a Paladin goody good.
It's not that hard user.
Who /coololdman/ here?
I spend very little time. I like games that come with pre-made character archtypes like Dark Souls so I can get through creation as quickly and lore-friendly as possible.
>Make character
>His face doesn't look as good from one angle as it does from the others
>I notice this after character creation
>It now bothers me.
>Want to be skeletal necromancer
>Can't be skeletal necromancer, can either be necromancer, or skeleton, but never both in the same game
>It bothers me
>Want specific item to complete my look, it doesn't exist, nothing else looks as good with it.
>Guess I gotta change the entire thing.
>Oh wow, these armors are cool, now to find a helm-
>no helmets, heavily armored guy walking with his face in the open
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
because its a jew monkey
jew monkeys are greedy animals that steal food from other monkeys and force white female monkeys to fuck with bigger black male monkeys, they laugh and rub their hands when they manage to pull that out
its normal to feel uneasy when seeing one because of how weird and shitty they are
I kindof hate witcher because of this. Some of those armours are great, but would only actually look good if it had the helmet to go with it, otherwise it looks goofy seeing a little pinhead poking out the top.
About an hour at first. Google for vids on what can be done, play around myself, until I find a face and look and build that feels good. Then I start the game, find out the character looks bat shit horrible because they *never*, ever miss the chance to put a completely different lighting in the character creation screen compared to everywhere else in the game.
So I go back, recreate the character again, usually from scratch because no option to save presets. And about 15-30 minutes later, back into the game. This time, everything seems smooth until the first cutscene or specific animations, where I find out that while they allow different bodytypes, the animations are all designed for a specific burly guy type, meaning skinny women look horrible, clipping through everything with their hunch back pose and clothing that literally floats on top of them. So back to the character generation it is, to make a compromise in the character build where they don't look as I want them to, but the animations work better.
All in all, this process usually takes me about 3-5 hours. After which I find the game itself sucks ass, proceed to ask for refund on Steam, and get denied of course because over 2h spent on game.
I fucking hate the vidya industry. In any other consumer market, they'd be obligated by law to give refunds after that shit.
Geralt needs to feel the wind blowing in his face or else he can't confirm that the "wind's howling", he also needs to look cool for the ladies, so he can't possible wear a helmet so he doesn't get his head caved in.
That's the only reason I never actually started Koikatsu.
I loved customizing each girl in AA2, doing some really autistic stuff like writing down which hair piece I used to avoid similar characters or trying to keep a balance between the girls' proportions. Hell, even customizing their school outfits, club outfits and swimsuits was fun.
Doing that with Koikatsu is pure suicide.
We didn't "evolve from monkeys". Monkeys and hominids shared a common ancestor. Whatever that primate-like creature was is what both we and monkeys evolved from.
