CHINDER

CHAGGER

NIGGER

reddit complains when things are good and the devs have to nerf perfectly good things into the dirt

They became service games instead of a disc you buy every two years when all the new shit comes out.

the community itself is broken. trannies have co-opted fighting games because they don't have any friends to play team games with. they're trash and their fragile egos cannot handle losing, so they bitch and complain until the games are dumbed down and the people that beat them consistently are cancelled

that also applies to this website, literally twins of shitstorms

Only a problem with NRSiggers. Nips don't care about what twitter says.

this and comeback mechanics out the ass

arcades were the only thing keeping it alive

they need to
1: Fix the netcode (using currently available tech, they don't even need to innovate)
2: Find a way to attract normies longterm that doesn't compromise the depth of the gameplay (might not be possible)

Netcode being ass.

I wouldn't say reddit, but normies always complain about wanting nerfs and sometimes pros complain because they want easier wins.

Seriously, what's with the influx of trannies playing fighting games? Never understood this.

Rent free. play real fightan.

i suck and im mad that im not as good as i could be thats whats wrong

Fighting games, like speedrunning, attracts mental illness because you have to invest a shit-ton of hours into something that's ultimately pointless in the real world.

Having to buy a new versions constantly sucked though. Getting a patch for free is better than paying money for it.

The people who play them

This is his sister:

I have more of her as well. I'll post a new thread on /s/ tomorrow.

it's populated by bad players like this guy.

I can’t even remember the last fighting game that had good netcode

>What's wrong with modern fighting games?
sony blocked crossplay for the whole generation so all of them are hurting bad for online players

>What's wrong with modern fighting games?
They're very slow, ugly and too simplistic, a lot of fighting games nowadays are very slow compared to older games (sfv, shamsho, kof14) it appears that 2d to 3d games aged pretty badly (kof, sf) and the graphics are usually boring and uninspired, one of the reasons why arcsys games are so good is because they're fast, have good spritework, and even their 3d games look good and require execution to play, however all arcsys games suffer from the same syndrome, once you get rushed there's barely any coming back (dbfz, bb) you can spend a lot of time in a corner with barely any options to come out (kid Goku) and they miss variety in gameplay since you'll be doing the same thing over and over u like older games where you had more options to approach and counter/attack, unironically doa is probably the best fighting game in the market right now because it actually takes execution to play, you can counter your opponent even if you get hit (holds) and there's no unga bunga moves/combos, so you actually have to think your approach and defensive options .

Street Fighter 5 and Guilty Gear Xrd, among fighting games, had cross-play since the beginning of PS4. Among other genres, PS3 had cross-play with PC and then PS4 for FF XIV, Rocket League also had cross play with PC long before Xbox, Helldivers too.

>samsho
Yeah dude what a """""""fast""""" series
It's clear you have no idea what you're talking about

>2: Find a way to attract normies longterm that doesn't compromise the depth of the gameplay (might not be possible)
I genuinely think this is impossible.

Quickly hijacking this thread to ask what happened to AlphaOmegaSin? I haven't heard from that guy in years now.

He's active on twitter still, so he isn't dead.
Not sure why he stopped uploading though.

NETCODE

Around the time Bloodborne came out his wife had a miscarriage so he stopped doing videos because of the themes

reminder you will get banned in his chat for saying "I don't think capcom will make another marvel game due to how poorly infinite was received"

I hope his wife miscarries or dies in labor. Preferably both.

No one wants to interact with mentally ill trannys so they gravitate towards single player competition (because what is a man without competition). Same reason theyve taken over speedrunning

The players smell bad

aww, now he won't say your name every now and then.

from a spectator pov, i was watching the end of that mvc3 tournament yesterday or two days ago and modern fighters just don't have the hype to watch high level play compared to older games. watching sf5 made me miss what sf4 was, and sf4 made me miss what sf3 was, killer instinct was pretty damn great to watch, tekken is great to watch, nver got into the arcsys fighters, and mk was always stiff shit to me. also to do with the way modern fighters are presented and kept alive on a competitive level, i think it's time for TOs to switch to pc for local play.

The FGC was always full of niggers, faggots and larping gangbangers. Trannies and fags have a habit of infecting subcultures and going for power positions (just look at shit like magic the gathering) but the real reason the FGC is dead is because arcades are dead and the entire "culture" has be sanitized and lobotomized to appease a corporate structure. The sad thing is the money STILL isn't even there like for other esports. They sold their soul so the top 0.1% can make minimum wage level earnings lmao

Losing isn't fun online and the game doesn't teach you a damn thing when you get your ass handed to you. So it is a zero feed back loop that leaves people wanting to quit the game.

Getting your ass handed to you at the very least shows you how offense if supposed to look against little resistance.

Fighting games are a very intuitive genre. Everything is clear and limited in scope (literally confined to a single screen) you don't need to know what a tick throw, zoning, blockstrings anti air poke etc etc are conceptually to do them naturally, if perhaps sub optimally.

Give someone sf2 and if they just mash jab and jump around randomly they simply won't ever be decent and it's a waste of time for them to try and learn how the game is played. At the very least they should figure out something like JP HK~sweep is pretty good on the cpu. There are people so dumb they never naturally put together that throwing lots of fireball pressure and doing a DP when they jump over is an effective strategy. These people are the reason Tekken exists and sells.

they aren't being made for fighting game players anymore and online fighting games always suck no matter how good people claim the netcode is

No they are not at all. They only are when you have decades of experience

Why does reddit still perpetuate the "lose over and over again online until you win" meme? I literally have never lost the majority (or even near) my matches in any fighting game i've played online. I jumped right into HD remix and SF4 and started winning matches and my only experience prior to this was playing the CPU on sega genesis.

Did he cry about this too?

>2d to 3d
They look a bit shit sure but the flexibility and efficiency 3d graphics offer designers over 2d can't be denied..

Cinematic bullshit. I want to play a video game, not a movie.

cry about what? he didnt say anything wrong

something that needs to be clipped though
during his run through ff7 demo
he said "queers are weird"

heh

Kids under the age of 10 figured out the basic strategies of fighting games at the arcade and playing their snes. You don't seem to be capable of understanding what it is I even said. You don't need to understand metagame aspects conceptually to pick them up intuitively, those that don't simply lack any pattern recognition or genuine interest. Fighting games are very good at teaching the player through gameplay.

The fighting game community attracts the worst of the worst and thankfully it essentially acts as a containment genre for the kind of people no one wants in their game's servers. As for the gameplay itself - it's not immediately apparent why you're getting your ass handed to you like in an FPS, or even an RTS. You're getting outplayed, sure, but how? In an FPS you can just broadly say "I'm not good enough at aiming" or in an RTS you can say "I don't know the game well enough and don't have the routines down", but in a fighting game you get the shit kicked out of you in 30 seconds and if you weren't paying 100% attention you'll have no idea how.

This is, of course, assuming you're new to the genre.

Granblue probably does depth the best way I've seen in a long time, the game is simple enough that I don't have to send long mechanic explanation videos to my new friends and we can go straight into actually playing the game.

yes, he cried. he also went back to delete the vod and deleted the poor user's clip that got its attention in the first place in less than 24 hrs.

>Have no idea what you're
I'm talking about the old shamsho nigga, it's more fluid than the new one, not that it was a fast series, I've played snk games all my life so yes I know what I'm talking about

You are using a bunch of words and shit that most new players don't even know about. Its not pattern reconigtion at all because you need to talk to other folk to find out how a game like SF2 even works. There used to be a saying "save that shit for nationals/Finals" because those older games are far from logical. that one that plays a lot would find out of weird illogical shit that would leave a player at an advantage.

>What's wrong with modern fighting games?
the problem is the FGC is too autistic and developers try to adjust numbers to cater to them

Wait, I thought that was EpicNameBro.

street fighter 4.

Are you even reading my posts?

>You are using a bunch of words and shit that most new players don't even know about

And the whole point is they don't need to understand the concept of a "tick throw" to do one naturally and exploit metagame mechanics.

>"save that shit for nationals/Finals" because those older games are far from logical

Tech has nothing to do with the broad metagame concepts i'm talking about nor the level i'm referring to. Read my posts.

The main point is you should be able to reach a certain level of competency just playing the CPU/casual friends in any game, if you do this you will do fine online (obviously you can't compete against literal pros) if you get bodied online after playing single player fighting games just aren't for you because you failed to learn what the game teaches you through basic gameplay.

This nigger is ugly

None of that shit matters at a beginner level
As long as you have an extremely basic grasp of framedata, not even knowing the actual frames, just the concept of "blocking some moves lets you punish them because the block lasts less time than the attack" and the ability to learn from experience you'll progress by seeing what works and what doesn't.
If someone is hitting you before your attack comes out, use a faster button. If you can't, use a reversal, if you can't, block it. If someone is hitting you from outside your range, use a longer button, or jump over it, or smack his stupid extended foot when he misses, or just block and slowly walk in. If someone is throwing you, jump. If someone is jumping out of your throws, hit them with lows. If someone is jumping at you constantly, anti air them. If you're getting anti-aired, stop jumping so much.
Even random button mashers start to figure these concepts out eventually. They might not even know what a frame is, but they will eventually figure out that every time they do a particular move they get stuck in the ending of that move and get hit, and stop mashing that move so much.
If you can't manage even that, there's something wrong with you.

ENB wife cheated on him (multiple times) and it wasn't a miscarriage it was an abortion. This was the reason for the divorce. She used him for a visa and came from a poor broken fatherless home. He deserves it "oh look at this pariah who wants to fuck white foreigners i'll marry her what could go wrong?"

You can't learn those without human feedback.

Tack on a shitty RPG/Story mode, how hard is this

stfu nigger

They have run out of ideas for creative and interesting new characters so most people have lost interest

You can and people did, you dumb zoomer. Fighting games teach you via gameplay the same way any other game does.

You never played online

Match making systems suck.

Twitch happened. Now everything is manufactured hype because the FGC being honest with itself would turn away esports.
It has even made its way into gameplay, with the rise of comeback mechanics and an unfortunate tendency for devs to attempt uniting the community through intentionally overtuned/undertuned characters.

>caring about the attractiveness of other men
Faggot

Street fighter is shit, Smash Ultimate is unbalanced
The rest is pretty good. Only issue is that the tournament standard is still PS4 instead of PC

I am literally online right now
And I learned this game almost entirely against the cpu
