What is the best Doom design and which one should be in Smash ?

That's retarded since it's his worst design. It's literally green Samus. His original outfit would be the default because that is the iconic Doomguy design. That would be like if Cloud's default was Advent or even the remake design.

It's only the most recognizable to people who aren't even secondaries, it's the same problem with "Solid Snake" being represented by his Smash Bros render. Default should really be along the lines of Doom 1 or Arena, because that's pretty much what people who like Doom think of when they hear Doomguy. Even for nuDoomfans who call him "Doom Slayer", 2016 is already outdated.

DOOM, Quake Arena and Quake Champions imo, I really like that shade of green without sleeves. He looks a bit too stiff in Quake Champions, though.

nice baseless assumption. I don't think the Eternal design is that bad and thought they had some pretty interesting ideas. I hate the Doom 2016 design for both being unoriginal and straying too far away from what made his look iconic in the first place.

It'd sort of fit already since in doom 3 you did find those ancient carvings showing original doomguy doing his stuff. He'd just have to be a different guy.

Q3's design is THE definitive Doomguy, but Eternal's armor is so tryhard it loops back around to being unironically cool.

If Doomguy gets in Smash he should obviously just be an updated version of his classic design. Anything else would be actually retarded.

Having a set of 4 nuDoom skins (whichever they find most marketable) and 4 original skins, like a few characters have, would be ideal. My only concern is that they go with the Champions version of the original design, which is fucking hideous.
