Ineffectually blocks ur path
God, Dark Souls 2 sucks.
Who was the Jannetty?
>cant even get the bosses cool skull mask or bone staff
god dark souls 2 fucking sucks
Waddles at you
you can, but not from that boss
truth
I can only think of like 8 good Ds2 bosses.
that's 8 more than I can think of
*does literally nothing*
you are kidding, right
the true boss fight is the run up to it, not the actual fight
What was the point of this boss, it’s basically just a standard enemy filled room
Member?
Heeey 'member Ornstien?
You vs. the guy she said not to worry about
Is he harder in SotFS? He's got a dragon blocking his bridge so I assume he's meant to be fought later than in vanilla DS2.
This boss could've been so cool. Instead it's shit like the rest of the game.
He has more health, but he doesn't spin like a top, so he's easier as long as you aren't shit.
Nah hes perfectly manageable early.
How did he even end up becoming that giant demon thing? God Dark Souls 2's lore sucks ass
The dragon is easy to kill fresh out of Things Betwixt.
But if you wake up the Heide Knights by killing Dragonrider first, you might as well put him on hold for a while.
dude get this
it's like priests
but evil
>mirror knight
>lost sinner
>pursuer
>smelter demon
>maybe veldsstadt
All that I can remember liking, never played the dlc
Dark Souls sequels aren't cannon.
Something, something, Gwynn soul.
You murdered a defenseless group of church goers
>NOOOOOOOOO YOU CANT JUST REFERENCE OTHER GAMES IN THE SERIESINO NOOOOOOOOO
This looks like fucking WoW lmao. Why was is DS2 so ugly
You forgot your wojak you fucking subhuman.
This might be the worst boss in the series. Should have just been a mini boss as best.
Most of the bulk is made up by DLC.
The 8 I got were
>Pursuer
>Ruin Sentinels
>Smelter Demon
>Darklurker
>Elana
>Fume Knight
>Sir Allonne
>Aava
Everything else is either offensively bad, hilarious jobbers or forgettable and bland.
That doesn't explain anything, he got Gwyn's soul so what, how did he transform into that?
Tomohiro Shibuya
How much more well regarded would Dark Souls 1 be if Gwyn had the moveset of Soul of Cinder's phase 2?
I've been trying to remember what this area of the game reminded me of since release, thank fucking god this weight has been lifted from me
It wouldn't make a huge difference.
Ds1 and Gwyn is already held in high regard.
Gwyn's a dickhead, so he manifests as literally satan himself.
So, did this guy cuck that ugly slug with the snake bitch? I really can't tell what was going on, because the Iron King seemed way more important than the game lead me to believe.
Kind of like Sullivan in DS3.
Did they ever say why the giants had ass face except for one of them?
Was 2 the one with the weird hippos with toothy hands for heads? I really liked those.
Yeah, but if he had all those lightning attacks it would have been amazing.
Miyazaki himself admitted they botched Gwyn's fight with the ability to parry him.
some of those enemies were good
>DS2 fags go on and on about DS3 being a soulless sequel that has too many references to DS1
>meanwhile DS2 has a literal fucking DS1 copy pasted boss
I don’t even hate DS2 but it’s faggy fans are so dishonest
>Giants
>Elephants
>Flexile
These are great, though.
Poor programming.
The giant with the face was what they originally looked like until they changed their design during production. From just forgot to get rid of him before shipping the game.
Miyazaki himself is wrong. Gwyn is fine as he is.
The darklurker is so offensive. What the fuck were they thinking
The covetous demon went mad and became monstrous with desire for Mytha.
Mytha went mad and became monstrous with desire for the Iron King.
I don't think either of their love was ever requited.
I know it's the worst but still enjoy it occasionally. Seeing people try to argue it's better than anything in the series confuses me, it's like night and day.
>hey that one scene in lord of the rings was pretty cool
So apparently DS2 development was rebooted halfway through the process. What was the original vision for the game and why was it scrapped?
Sir Alonne was a good classic fight. Also he can parry you. And there's an Easter egg where if you win without him dealing any DMG to you he commits seppuku as death animation. The arena itself looked nice. The burned king or whatever from ice DLC was also kind of an interesting gimmick fight. You can access the boss pretty early on and could technically finish the DLC right then, but his arena has portals that spawn enemies. You must explore the level to find and free knights that help you in the fight and can sacrifice themselves to seal the portals.
>hey you guys seen the trailer for the diablo 3 dlc?
I enjoyed it too, besides the filler bosses. The idea that it’s some underrated masterpiece is laughable though. Maybe it’s cus I don’t do PvP and supposedly DS2 had the best of that
Time travel and a big importance on lighting.
Devs bite more than they can chew, and after a bunch of reorganizations that saw the team being replaced over and over again, just slapped together whatever they finished into a Frankenstein of a game.
It's a reference to Seath from King's Field.
Some of these are fine and fit dark souls but the bad ones are offensively bad. MMO tier is a perfect description for fuckers like darklurker and covetous demon
>DS3 HAS NO ORIGINALITY LIKE MUH DS2
Great design, painfully mediocre moveset.
those elephant knights still scare me, though
>imagine turning around and one of them is at a face distance
The worst example is "the gargoyle fight but there's twice as many".
>mfw the B-Team called this a boss
Then again they reused Ornstein and the Dragonriders
The dlc bosses were the coolest in the game.
Sir Alonne
The Ivory King
Sinh
These bosses are basically mini bosses like in Sekiro
No, that's 3.
What a horrible and stupid fight, I gave it like three attempts on my playthrough before I just said enoughs enough.
I cannot believe the devs thought this was a good fight idea
magus and congregation are basically normal enemies in sekiro
Boy, it would be such a shame if a game in the Dark Souls franchise reused assets for cheap nostalgia, huh? That would ruin the game for me.
