If you buy a video game in 2020 you shouldn't be able to measure the hours with single digits, period, end of discussion.

>Deedlit's game

dumb dumb mindset. It's why games have so much padding and dlc and bullshit. Also the key reason behind the OPEN WORLD meme, which is really just a fancy way to pad your game. Take a linear experience, now stretch that out over a large area with big distances. Make the player travel from all of these. You've taken 5 hours of gameplay and turned it into 60.

Games were better when they were well thought out tight experiences, ie levels. You see even Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1 had a "level" style design and it works. And for closer to the Genre, I think I beat Aria of Sorrow in 9 or 12 hours, which is what I tend to beat the Tansaku Castlevania games at. And that's fine.

you don't appear to be able to comprehend the passage of time in the first place, so just go ahead and tell yourself it's 60 hours long
