LoS was a GoW clone, and nu-GoW has kinda souls gameplay, so basically, they want a nu-GoW version of Castlevania.
Sound dumb. Bring back the goofy charming "horror" like mummies and crazy skeletons and that enemy who yelled "I LOVE YOU!". They'd probably do a generic "epic" orchestra OST like LoS.

But if you're going to take Castlevania and make it work in 3D, you could use WAY worse points of reference than Dark Souls/Bloodborne.

Just take that formula, emphasize the exploration (like Bloodborne), and add more traversal abilities, and bam, you're golden

The mobility is ironically way more rigid, unlocks open up way less potential in gameplay, most of Soulsbrone in general's gimmick bosses are some of the worst in the genre, there's barely any narrative, the music is not the same punch whatsoever.
